I’ve stayed in beautiful CasCais many times visiting friends, however this was the first time at the Miragem ||I chose the Miragem this time based upon the fabulous reviews and the location of the hotel, and opted for a premium room to take advantage of the wonderful balcony and sea view settings they offer.||I arrived on Friday evening on a late flight from London and was greeted warmly by front desk which is set in a very impressive lobby area. ||Upon stepping out onto my balcony in room 701, I was unfortunately very disappointed to see our sea view obstructed on the left by a large concrete and glass structure which struts out from the side of the hotel, taking away pretty much half of your view.||I went down the front desk the following morning to ask to move rooms as I’d particularly requested a Premium room which afforded wonderful pool and sea views, and in fact had emailed the hotel several times the week before to request this. The staff member on front desk was very polite but said that he could not move me as the hotel was full.||I know hotels cannot always honour requests, however I was actually given the opposite of my request which was very disappointing bearing in mind the price you pay for a premium room being way above entry level rooms at this hotel.||I have to be honest this dude put a cloud over my stay right from the start.||Another issue I have is the pool area. Whereas it’s beautiful, well maintained and in a lovely setting, this is marred by the fact that most of the day it was. occupied by screaming kids mostly unsupervised. To add to this there was loud noise from motorbikes and trains coming from the main road just underneath the pool.||Basically, nowhere to get peace and quiet in this lovely environment.||I have to commend the cleanliness of the hotel throughout and also the warmth and kindness of the staff which is a credit to the hotel. Especially I would like to thank Alex and Beatrix from the pool bar who were so kind to us, the entire day, with first class service. Also, the home-made food at the pool bar was very good indeed.||In summary, this is a nice hotel for families and kids but five star...

Read moreI was truly blown away by this hotel. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with elegance, professionalism, and exceptional service. The building’s architecture is breathtaking—grand and timeless, as though it were designed for royalty.
The staff are outstanding in every respect: warm, attentive, and remarkably dedicated. Every expectation was not only met but exceeded. Housekeeping deserves special recognition for their impeccable attention to detail, and the front-of-house team ranks among the best I have ever encountered. I would especially like to commend Luke from South Africa, whose kindness, professionalism, and eagerness to assist made my arrival seamless and welcoming. With his attitude and work ethic, I’m certain he will go far.
The spa is another highlight. I highly recommend the full-body deep tissue massage—an experience so rejuvenating I left feeling as though I were floating.
Dining was equally memorable. The food, especially breakfast, was beautifully prepared and best enjoyed on the third floor, where sweeping views of the ocean and passing boats create a serene backdrop to every meal.
In short, this hotel is nothing less than phenomenal. I booked it on a whim after extending my stay in Cascais, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I cannot recommend it highly enough—an unforgettable experience from...
