We had an absolutely amazing time at Moby Dick Surf Camp! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. The atmosphere is just perfect, full of surf and beach vibes.
One of the biggest highlights was how many new friends we made during our stay. It’s such a great community — people come together over surfing and leave with unforgettable memories.
A very special shoutout to Miguel, our surf trainer! He’s not only super talented, but also a really great teacher. He knows exactly how to encourage you and bring out the best in your surfing, no matter your level. You can always see him cheering for you with real enthusiasm. Thanks to him, we could really feel our progress and gained so much more confidence in the water.
All the staff deserve recognition too — they were all so approachable, helpful, and genuinely happy to make our experience the best it could be.
We truly loved every moment and can’t wait to come back. Highly...
Read moreWe have stay at the Moby Dick Lodge for 4 nights in May/June 2019 and were welcome by the owner, who had a beery breath, showing us the rooms availble. Either downstairs looking at the outside staircase or on first floor. We decided for the first floor facing the busy main road crossing. No AC, so the windows stay open to breath - very loud even until in the middle of the night.||The bunk beds squeak with every move, the main bed (140x200) rather small for grown up people.||The room was never made up, although we have asked for it several times.||Breakfast is okay, would not recommend more than 4 times (rolls, jam, cheese, ham, juice, filter coffee and tea).||After a week of departure, I am still waiting for my receipt, money was charged to my CC pretty quick.||Entire building is outdated and needs a bit more than a paintbrush. When entering the hotel there is a strong musty smell .||||Overall, I would not recommend the Lodge to families...
Read morewe had a really good time at the Moby dick surf lodge! Our rooms were nice and the whole lodge was pretty clean and cozy. Although our room had a weird smell if we didn’t keep the windows open. The kitchen is well staffed so you can cook your own meals at any time. The surfteachers and people who work there are really nice and chill especially the volunteers will help you with everything they can and made our stay so special there :) The only thing we didn’t enjoy so much was the organisation of the yoga lessons but the lesson itself were really good! Also it felt like the surf lessons were more focused on beginners and people who just try to have a fun time while surfing not really for the ones who try to improve themselves. Because often the groups were so big and with mixed levels that the surfteachers couldn’t really...
