This place is great. food it's delicious, and a lovely family running this restaurant. Also would like say thanks. When we went there, we went with our 2 y.o daughter. I was walking with her around so she was looking at the flowers in the garden and suddenly a very crazy man, started shooting at me and my daughter that this was not a kindergarten that we had to leave, and very rude. Everyone in the restaurant was surprised for the reaction of this man, as my daughter was not screaming or bothering people around (things that you can understand if someone gets triggered) we were literally walking watching the flowers and he went crazy. I'm really grateful with the owners of the restaurant as they went immediately to tell to this man that the restaurant is family oriented and no one was bothering him and if he can't stand a child he can leave. Also not allowing any rude behavior. Big thanks! Also I realized now in the reviews that this crazy guy put a bad review to the restaurant by liying and twisting the story. Anyways miserable unhappy people they have problems everywhere. Thank you Maria Garden,we love your food...
Read moreOn Saturday evening, we visited a wonderful restaurant. 😍 The atmosphere was amazing, and it has a very cool story. The owners are just awesome. It’s a husband and wife, and they designed the place themselves. We were greeted by the friendly owner, who told us about the place, gave us a tour, and said that he wanted us to feel at home. And we really did feel at home. We went to look around the second floor and spent time admiring all the little details. You could honestly spend a couple of hours just looking at all the details. Besides the fact that the atmosphere was simply fantastic, the food was absolutely incredible — everything was so delicious, and the wine, the atmosphere — just unreal. This is the kind of place you simply want to keep coming back to. And it’s definitely a true recommendation: if you’re ever in Portugal, make sure to stop by this wonderful restaurant that’s been around for five years. It’s a family-run business — not some big monopoly — and they truly pour their heart and soul into it. We were very happy, I recommend it to everyone, and we will definitely keep coming back again...
Read moreA culinary oasis! This was one of our favorite meals on a two week trip throughout Portugal. A beautiful, relaxed setting made for a truly enjoyable experience. Francesco was a fantastic host and server and has co created a truly beautiful dining experience. The food was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, but with a modern spin to make it different than typical Portuguese food. We had the shrimp (the sauce 🤌), cured cheese and tempura green beans for starters. All excellent. And then we had the sea bass and albacore with strawberries and feta entries — both fresh, flavorful and delicious. What we loved most about this restaurant was that it provided elevated food without any fuss, pretense, or overdone fine dining type service. TLDR; elevated food in a beautiful and laid back atmosphere. Make sure you reserve a table in advance. We got shut out the first try and booked a table for the next night....
