Monte da Guia - Alojamento Local — Hotel in Horta

This is one of the best accommodations we have ever stayed at. This would be perfect for anyone in Faial for a longer stay. The room is spacious with lots of storage and the bathroom has great water pressure. We had a great view from our room of Porto Pim beach and Monte da Guia. The location is close to downtown and you can walk to the grocery store and many restaurants. Everything inside (rooms, common spaces, laundry, kitchen) is so clean and lovely. The best part of our stay was meeting Lenita. She welcomed us when we arrived and gave us great recommendations of things to see in Faial. Our 3 night stay at Monte Da Guia, could not have been anymore enjoyable. We were welcomed by the most friendly, hard working staff member. She was very helpful from giving us travel tips, to renting us a scooter through the Guest House. The house is super clean, quiet, and both kitchens are fully stocked with all needed equipment. On our last day, we even had our laundry done! Our room had a lovely view of the inlet, just off a non busy street. Das Zentrum von Faial ist fußläufig erreichbar, also die perfekte Lage. Parkplätze an der Straße immer ausreichend vorhanden und trotz Kopfsteinpflaster ruhig. Das Zimmer, gebucht hatte ich die Ermida da Guia mit Balkon, ließ zu wünschen übrig. Auf dem Boden eine Menge Tierchen und ich hoffe, keine ins nächste Hotel oder noch schlimmer, mit nach Hause, geschleppt zu haben. Das geht gar nicht! Der Balkon ist ein französischer, also gerade mal einen Schritt in der Tiefe und folglich nicht wirklich nutzbar. Fenster ließen sich nicht sicher verschließen, sodass ich somit aus Sicherheitsgründen immer die Rollladen unten gelassen habe, wenn ich abwesend war. Im Bad zwar eine Lüftung vorhanden, diese aber für die Raumgröße zu schwach, sodass ich über das Zimmer lüften musste, um dieses nutzen zu können. Generell das Bad sehr eng und nur begrenzte Ablagefläche. Auch wird zu viel Waschpulver, oder ist es doch Weichspüler benutzt, da es unangenehm gerochen hat. Andere Gäste teilweise sehr laut und die Gemeinschaftsküche verströmt unangenehme Gerüche. ||Keine Empfehlung und die Bilder versprechen mehr, als das sie halten. Zudem die Kommunikation äußerst nervig, da die E-Mails des Besitzers oder Verwalters ausschließlich auf Portugiesisch verfasst waren. Englisch wäre angebracht gewesen, da ich auch nicht in meiner Muttersprache kommuniziert habe. Und das Personenblatt habe ich aus Datenschutzgründen nicht ausgefüllt, da andere Unterkünfte diese Informationen nicht benötigt haben und ferner hat ein Hinweis auf die EU-Datenschutzgrundverordnung (gilt auch in...
