CasaTuia — Hotel in Lagoa

Quite simply Casa Tuia is perfection, in fact our only criticism was that we couldn’t secure the dates we wanted for next year because they were already booked.

Having been travelling to Portugal for the last 30 years, this is the best place I have stayed in the country.

We stayed in Villa 2, which gave the perfect blend of privacy and the option to use the communal facilities.

Decoration across the site is beautiful, a Balinese style which very much suits our tastes.

The owners and other team members (including little GiGi) are wonderful and really make Casa Tuia feel like a home.

Several times we didn’t make our dinner reservations, or any form of dinner, having just relaxed in the bar area, chatting to friends made from the place. A first for us!

We will be back (as soon as we get the availability 😀).

We stayed in a glamping tent, which was very spacious and comfortable, including the beds. ||The view on the construction area between the vineyard across was a bit of a disappointment but we were not that much at our tent to let it bother us. The external night noises from animals kept us awake though, next time I would book a town house instead since we are light sleepers. ||||The resort is large but with only a few houses and tents the intimate atmosphere is great. And that’s what we like about it. The pool was our favorite common area, beautiful and with stylish sun beds for relaxation. ||The children liked the darts but didn’t use much of the other playground activities as those are a bit ready for renewal. ||||In short: excellent pool, great accommodation with nice and friendly staff, perfect location for get always at the...

As a family of 4, we stayed in Villa 1 at Casa Tuia for 6 nights from 27th August 2025. The accommodation is beautiful and perfectly laid out for a family or couples alike. Everything you need is provided at the villa. The location is about 45 minutes from Faro airport which makes it a great location with beeches a 5 minute drive away and a choice of 3 supermarkets only a few minutes from the villa. The villa itself offers a decent amount of privacy - and the outdoor tub was a hit for the whole family. Lisa is a great host, and was easily contactable, she even helped organise a dolphin trip which was the highlight of the holiday. Thank you Lisa!
