Snack Bar Edra — Restaurant in Lagoa

We were very desperate in Carvoeiro as we could not find any good restaurant, only restaurant with big menu, made for the (English) tourists (which only like toasts and burgers lol). We were desperately looking for a GOOD and LOCAL restaurant … and we found this restaurant in google maps !! And wow !! Thank you !!! Thank you for existing, it is so rare to find those typical restaurants. We only paid 24 euro for 2 daurades + drink !! And the food was so simple and good (olive oil, lemon, salt… so good!!!) Also thank you to the waitress. We are French so could only speak in English … however when she was taking our order she only spoke Portuguese with us … it was funny as we had to try to understand, it is so rare to meet Portuguese people which try to learn to you their langage! Thank you ! I learned some words thank to her. Highly recommend if you like local food and vibe. Wow, this local spot is absolutely worth the visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by super friendly staff who made us feel instantly at home. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal.

The food? Simply amazing, bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous, prices were exactly what they should be (no tourist mark-ups), and every bite left us wanting more.

Every time we passed this place, it was always busy. So we tried today. We walked in around 13:00, most of tables were full. We waited for a while to be severed. There was no menu to choose from. It looks like either fish or meat. When we sat down, only fish was available.

Fish was simple grilled sea bream with boiled potatoes. It was so delicious!
