Presa de Moura - Apartment & Villa Resort — Hotel in Lagoa

The property- 2 floors, beds downstairs, large sitting area, large dining area and good size balcony with views of the sea.. amazing! The facilities are great, attached swimming pool a stroll away, with soft comfortable beds but no refreshment facilities.. shame! Maid service very good. Due to being very few amenities a car is essential. There are 2 smarting restaurants the Hexagone which is the smartest and quite expensive perhaps, then another pizza restaurant next door to the small local shop straight down the road going out of Sesmarias towards Lagoa, walking distance. Then with a car keep going to Aldi/Lidl/ and other large supermarkets. There’s lots to see, SandCity after 8pm as the lighting is best then, Zoomarine swimming with dolphins if that’s your preference, and other slide parks, beaches, Praia do Rocha is my favourite beach, caves and walks, the sea is clear and lots to look at. We stayed at Presa de Moura 49. Booked via Elite Rentals who are an excellent agent. Very good communications and all details regarding arrival and departure were very well handled. This is a very well furnished and appointed modern 2 bedroom townhouse. Perfect for a family of 4. The pool is fabulous and a 2 minutes walk away. Surprisingly quiet for mid August, especially compared with some of the other resorts we have visited. There are some fabulous cliff top walks for the energetic in both directions, towards Carvoeiro or Ferragudo. There is an excellent restaurant called Hexagone at the end of the road that we visited 3 times. There is another excellent fish restaurant at Caneiros a short drive away. Presa de Moura is a little out of town so a car is recommended or you can make use of taxis for a few Euros for each trip. We have stayed on this complex twice now in two different apartments. They are well furnished - some soft furnishings could do with updating. They are spotless clean and you have a maid service 3 times in the week. Towels are changed a couple of times. There are sun lounges and a nice balcony. Thete is a pool, gym, and a play area for tiny children. It is very quiet and peaceful and the gardens are beautiful and so well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful.|There is Wi-Fi - a bit intermittent though. Good parking and within easy reach of restaurants, shops walks...
