Aldeamento Monte Sol — Hotel in Loulé

Paid this place a visit on a Wednesday evening without booking. Was very quiet but friendly welcome and seated near bar. Three of us had the fillet steak on a stone which was amazing - good sized and very tasty fillet with garlic butter, mushroom and pepper sauces on the side along with onions and peppers plus fries. My wife had the lamb shank which looked brilliant but she was less keen on the gravy. One of my sons had the margarita pizza which was good though he prefers more tomato base. Steaks were €25 which was excellent value and I’d highly recommend.||Service was faultless and friendly throughout.If you are out of the centre and near this restaurant I’d highly recommend a visit....

Room on arrival was dirty. Towels have holes in and changed once every 3-4 days. The bath needed cleaning out before we could use it as the bath mat was full of black dirt. Mould on the shower curtain and the head kept falling off the shower. The pool was lovely and quiet however lots of families with inflatables yet our children were told they couldn't use theirs in the pool as others had theirs in. This was very unfair. 2 lifeguards on duty throughout our stay. The Male lifeguard spent all his time on his mobile phone and the female spent her time topping up her tan wearing bikini bottoms only and taking regular swims. Stayed for a 4 night mini-break in June. A very pleasant experience. Consist of low rise self catering apartments over two floors, in a crescent shape, overlooking well maintained gardens and a small swimming pool. The apartments are of a good size, with bedroom, bathroom, large sitting room, and a well equipped kitchen. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
