We've been coming back to O Pirata every year since 2022 — and for good reason. It's one of the best restaurants in Vilamoura, not just for the quality of the food, but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The standout dish for us is the seafood cataplana: beautifully served in a copper pot, generous in portion, and rich in flavor — a perfect taste of Portugal. The boss and staff are friendly and always smiling, and you can feel the care they put into every dish and interaction.

Wonderful venue, which includes a pool and trampoline for the children to enjoy whilst the adults are eating. Friendly and hospitable staff with very good English. They made us feel very welcome and it seemed as though nothing was too much trouble. The food was well prepared and delivered quickly, but there was no pressure to move on to the next course. I would definitely return to O Pirata. Great service from Fabio tonight. I had the special, which was a ribeye steak, it was massive and cooked exactly how I wanted it. Dessert was good too, I had the lemon meringue pie but wish I'd gone for the strawberry cheesecake, which my girlfriend had, as it was even better.
