Machim D'Arfet House by Homie — Hotel in Machico

Lovely little hotel right next to the ocean and lots of nice restaurants and little shops. The room is very nice and even came equipped with a small stove in case you need to do some cooking or heat up some leftovers. I came here with my girlfriend for a few nights and had a wonderful time. Machico is a nice quiet town that is close enough to everything but without the noise of Funchal. I definitely would recommend this place if you are coming to Madeira!

DO NOT BOOK WITH MADEIRA SUN TRAVEL. Read their company reviews first. I made a mistake after seeing their good reviews on this location on Booking.com (which I have since learned you cannot leave a review unless invited, so poor experiences can't be listed). After booking & paying online, they messaged me a phishing link through booking.com chat asking me to pay again with bitcoin/cryptocurrency. Quaint place. I saw it described online as a hostel, but i would not classify it like that at all. It is a newly renovated hotel room with a small kitchen. Very nice bathroom with beautiful tile, large shower, and brass fixtures. It's a bit cozy. Walking distance to the beach. Next to restaurants and shops. Very nice area. Only pedestrian traffic on the street where you enter. Next to the old fort.
