Mira Lodge Park — Hotel in Mira

Decent campsite park with cute tipis etc for hire. I was quite disappointed however, the tipis were not properly maintained at all! I stayed with my partner and 2 children in one. It was quite spacious and the beds pretty comfy. The trouble came when getting our things in and then at night. There was only one little table to keep everything on and a few hangers for clothes but no where to hang them. So most of our stuff was on the floor and on suitcase, bags, towels etc. When the night came, it was like sleeping outdside! The tipi had so many gaps and ripped windows that it did not keep any heat in whatsoever. We had to use the duvets provided plus blankets that we had to borrow from my mum who was staying in her tent, and still slept in jumpers! I stayed one night in the tent and was so much warmer! The other thing is there is somekind of orange dye or rust all over the tipis, wooden parts of the floor and the railings. It would go everywhere, hands, feet, arms, clothes etc my children were orange most of the time as they play on the floor. In conclusion I would stay at this park again but only with my own tent. Its walking distance to the beach and shops, restaurants etc but definitely wouldn't waste my money on the...

This is a really good value for money camp site, it has everything you could possibly need on site, if not on site you are surrounded by some large supermarkets within a short drive. The swimming pool was amazing really clean and well kept. There are several loo blocks scattered around the site and the are large also very well kept. On site there are several accommodation units available to rent be it tents or static caravans. There is also a bar & restaurant. It could do with a lick of paint around and about but nothing that detracts from a good place to stay. There is also a children’s play area and a comfortable lounge if you want to relax away for your unit. The beaches are a 15 minute walk and are massive with beautiful sand dunes. Also directly opposite the camp is a very large lagoon with lots of areas dedicated to fishing or just relax on one of the swinging seats that are dotted around the perimeter of the lagoon. People who run it are lovely nothing too much trouble and the site is fenced all the way around it with a barrier at the entrance that is controlled by the office so you are very secure....

We went camping to this site, it’s really good value for money the site has a magnificent location right by a massive lagoon and 5 minutes from the beach. It fabulous if you have dogs there are lots of off lead walks near by. The beaches are amazing just km of soft sand, mind you if you struggle with mobility you need the go to the main town to gain access. If you are a fresh water fisherman you would think you have died and gone to heaven. There is a restaurant on site and a beautiful swimming pool. The site is geared towards families and there are places for children to have a great time. The local town is 2km away with a spar shop and take aways if you need it. I would have no problem recommending this site. The only proviso is it is looking a bit tired but if you are campers you can over look that. It’s very clean and the people...
