The selection of seafood is wide and of the highest quality. You get to pick your own fish and then they will cook it for you, which is a nice experience. In addition, the portions are very generous especially for a higher end restaurant although in Portugal all dishes have large portions, so be careful how much you order. Staff were good to let you know and ask about how much food or hungry people were. We had the squid which was really well cooked and very tasty. We also have the clams which were fantastic. The one thing you will notice in Portugal is that they do not clean their shrimp i.e. take out the intestine which is normal in North America so this place did not do that which I didn’t like so when you’re eating it, it feels grainy. It’s not a dig on the restaurant, but maybe this is a cultural / Portugal thing as I have not seen any dish with shrimp that clean the intestine out. The service is perhaps a little too formal, but still very polite and very knowledgeable. A great location in a lovely town by the ocean. On this one, I’m a little bit biased since I grew up here before moving to North America. You cannot go wrong with this place. We come here every year on our vacation visiting my family. I would like to thank you for the wonderful hospitality and delicious food which made the year end worth enjoyable. I must mention that all the arrangements were done perfectly and thanks to you and your professional staff. I so appreciated your kindness by adjusting your pre defined / set meal only for me which came to me as surprise while enjoying my food. Initially when I was booking my table, your staff ( if i remember correctly his name is Joao) asked me about food allergies and we had a talk about this and I informed him not to worry since I can skip 1 or 2 items from the huge list. But your staff including your chef took additional responsibility to take care of me and my food allergies. I was emotionally touched by the individual attention. Moreover during the service your staff including head chef came several times to check whether everything went fine or not. I am really touched by overall experience. Food was really good. I am very happy that restaurant choice was perfect specially when you are traveling alone to unknown place, where you don't know anyone and people like you are giving the comfort so that solo traveler like me will feel like to...

Wow Salgáboca! For an upper tier dining experience this is the spot. Near the beach, comfortable atmosphere and excellent food and service. We enjoyed a 4 kilo Robalo (Sea Bass) that we selected from their ice table display. It was more thank plenty for our table of 9. The preparation and presentation of the meal were excellent. From the appetizers to the dessert, the staff was attentive and efficient. I have to say the Natas De Ceu was bay far the best I’ve ever had. It was the epitome of the definition of this dessert. “Cream of the Sky (heaven)”. Tasted like a piece of heaven. Really amazing experience. The fresh fish selection can be a bit pricey, but for this once in a lifetime experience the cost was all worth it. If you are looking for good food and and a great experience and are willing to spend a bit more than usual then I believe you will enjoy this restaurant....

You will not be disappointed with this restaurant, we arrived at 21:30 after a long day driving from Vigo, was busy but they set a table for tge two of us, 10min wait which wasn't to bad considering how busy it was. You can choose seafood from the chilled counter, amazing selection of fish, lobster, prawns as big as my forearm!! I had a Grouper steak which came with vegetables and baked potatoes, my wife had pork medallions with shrimps and vegetables (delicious) a glass of red wine and cheesecake, owner and staff very friendly and attentive, meal for two €84 what bargain. If we are in this area again will definitely pay them another visit.

Second time I've been to Salgaboca and both times I have nothing but positive things to say. The waiter today made our experience unforgettable. He suggested us the Cantaril fish, which we had never eaten and served it on our plates just as we're supposed to eat it. Extremely chatty and friendly. The food was delicious both times. And the esplanada is pleasant. Will definitely be returning for a third time!

Second time I've been to Salgaboca and both times I have nothing but positive things to say. The waiter today made our experience unforgettable. He suggested us the Cantaril fish, which we had never eaten and served it on our plates just as we're supposed to eat it. Extremely chatty and friendly. The food was delicious both times. And the esplanada is pleasant. Will definitely be returning for a third time!
