To the West of Faro is Olhos and beyond on the coastline is Fuzeta, a small fishing village, that is quiet, quaint & almost takes you back in time to the Algarve of past years.||Moinhas Das Mares is independently owned, situated just out of the centre of the village. Within easy (flat) walking distance you have the sea front(s), Bars, restaurants & local shops.||For the independent traveller across the road is the bus stop & approximately 200-250 metres is Fuzeta railway station. A ticket to Faro on the train is approximately €3, so easy on the pocket and an relaxing way to visit main town of the Algarve.||A local supermarket is approximately 100 metres (the same direction as to the railway station) so you can stock up on any provisions.||For those hiring a car, this small hotel has it’s own secure car park, giving you a remote to operate the electronic gate.||The rooms are authentic Portuguese with all modern facilities including air conditioning and very clean. Found this treasure on booking .com and it is a gem.|Accommodation consists of a bedroom which is entered from a separate door outside, the room consists of a comfortable bed, small fridge which had a bottle of complimentary still water,air conditioning, kettle,tea /coffee,fly screens at windows in bathroom and bedroom ,TV and modern bathroom with shower gel etc included.|Outside 2 comfortable sun chairs, table and parasol.|The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed if needed.|The staff are very friendly but not much English spoken.|The tide comes in twice a day with bird life etc but a little early for flamingo's. |Plenty of restaurants nearby which are excellent and very reasonably priced.|Easy to walk to beach.|Supermarket and laundrette within 100...

Wake up every morning with a view at the numerous birds in the Ria Formosa: an extended wetland and protected nature reserve. Watch the tide change during the day, from low to high tide and back again. Your accommodation is an beautifully restored and tastly decorated tidal mill with 5 rooms, because of its former function located in the wetland. The rooms have central heating (very nice in winter) and airconditioning. Fuseta is still a fishing village and although touristic, it maintains a local atmosphere. Luckily there are still no big hotels. Margarida, the owner of Moinhos das Marés, and her personnel are very friendly and helpful.
