we have often walked by this restaurant and it is often busy, so it must be good food, good value or both, we thought The view is nice if you sit at the right end, otherwise you are just watching the traffic The food was mixed; we had some clams which were cooked with some strong tasting addition, maybe marmite or soy sauce- whatever it was it completely overwhelmed the clams so they were quite nasty. Menu was good, lots of choices . We went there and were the first people in the restaurant but still waited an hour for our food after we had ordered. Whilst we were waiting several more people arrived and got their food before us, also several people arrived to pick up take away orders and were also served before us. However when the food arrived it was fine, not brilliant but good enough. If the restaurant was busy I could accept the long wait but since this wasn't the case it was frustrating. ...

I booked a table for lunch. I had been eyeballing the grilled fish but with the menu in hand, I settled in the seafood rice (clams, mussels, prawns and crab). Starter was clams, with bread to dip in the plain sauce and dessert was a yummy fig sweet.

Service was excellent and there was no unreasonable delay in getting the courses through.
