Blacksheep Sagres Guesthouse & Surf — Hotel in Vila do Bispo

this wonderful place is undoubtedly the best and most welcomed place I have experienced for 35 years as a traveler (of which the last 6 years have been as a full time job. to maintain it from an objective point of view ... - although this is very difficult since my regular booking was 5 days, Now been here after departure for 5 months months. Absolutely personal record (also on Blacksheep here). Even during lockdown, where the place, the owners for personal and moral reasons closed the place where others. hotels hostels (nb. this is a guesthouse but with dormrooms. one for women and one for men. 2 private wonderful rooms upstairs. all designed by the owner Esther. A hard working woman , who despite her busyness ALWAYS has time for good advice, guidance and in my case help with medical treatment. Never has neither she or her overly sympathetic man, Julio said no to help while I was ill. Gestures I have never experienced before. Esther is an Always Smiling Lovely Helping Woman. Julio as well with the humor in the back seat. Is an additional surfing instructor (everything regarding surfing is possible here inc hours / lessons, boards wetsuits etc .. have another surfing house near the beach .. speaking of both the place, Blacksheep is quite a few hundred meters from Tonnel beach, a very popular surfing beach, very beautiful as well ....... The Blacksheep itself is a pleasure beyond the ordinary. always clean and nice. a large kitchen where absolutely nothing is missing and in that case it is acquired. The place has the policy that recycling inc electricity etc. should preferably accepted. Just outside where among so many other things, jacuzzi countless small nooks where you can sit in peace & quiet.if not there is a cozy terrace where the undersigned has his permanent place now for almost half a year.a covered terrace for wind and weather (can of course be opened should it be too hot ...|- but summa summarum. Has to date not once received negative publicity about the guesthouse here ....- and I am a guest here, not the owner. usually the guests talk internally about the negatives stuff that is in SO many other places. Believe me, speaking of lifelong experience ..... the prices here are lower than usual due to Corona Covid 19, which again so many other rental places do NOT respect, which means that despite the virus, the guests have slowly started to come back. | With kind regards from an overly satisfied man who now considers Blacksheep more like my home than a rental property. A FANTASTIC PLACE WITH BEAUTIFUL OWNERS (straightforward and not fake like so many other places here ..- or places in general) It should finally be pointed out that the bus from Lisbon (4 hours in a nice bus) goes right to the door here, further the other way via Lagos stops right by the place as well ...- a few meters from the big supermarket if you after travel need a snack or fill your part of refrigerator up...

Absolutely wonderful stay here. Instantly felt like home in a new place. Sagres is a special small surf town and Esther and Julio really bring in the charm and coziness to the space, probably why most guests ended up extending their stay. I was there for almost 2 weeks and still wasn't ready to leave. It is very clean with the most comfortable beds, the best I've slept in a shared space. They've created a wonderful outdoor space too, we would do yoga and meditate on the roof! The wifi is strong and consistent for work plus they have a plethora of work spaces indoor and out, even a cute office shed outside if you need to take calls or work in silence. They rent bikes, surfboards, wetsuits, and have laundry available on site! Just a walk away from Tonel and right next door to the Intermarche (grocery store) which was very convenient. Along with an amazing space it really attracts the best people. I met some wonderful friends and there was always a good friendly vibe on site. I will definitely...
