I was ecstatic when this place opened at the end of the world a few years back. Attended every wine-tasting event they held while I lived in the paradise near by. Staff were friendly, kind and caring. However, when I visited there this morning a couple of years after I moved to the north, I was devastated by the heartless cold racial attitude of the serving staff. It made me feel like we weren't welcome. I felt like I was in a completely different place. They seemed they hate their job. It's absolutely okay to hate your job if they are working in their miserable home town. But this is the Paradise at the end of the world. You shouldn't be working at the Picnic. That is everything against what Picnic stands for. That's the part we used to love about this place. You are supposed to be serving the kindness and spreading the joy. Not to make everyone intimidated and unwelcome. I hope that two young ladies who served at the counter this morning, 26/7/24, realise that they are so fortunate to be working in a place where so much happiness and joy were granted to the countless visitors. Otherwise, just move back to your hometown and be miserable there. Oh, by the way, their pastries still...

Only 4 stars for the vibe, decor and speed of service. Coffee was not the greatest I’ve ever tasted.

Amazing spot. Decor which fits perfectly with the vibe of the whole spot (pictures below).

Very few negatives with this place.

Price wise you’re looking about average for what a flat white would be. However €4.50 for an iced latte? Bonkers, especially when it requires less time to make!

Coffee was average, the beans were not particularly tasty. I am a bit of a coffee snob myself so I’ve got very high standards and it seemed a shame that what appeared to be a local coffee joint was serving cheap coffee. Left a bad taste in the mouth and tasted bitter as if stale beans or under/over extraction.

The hot chocolate was nice, not too sweet but very lumpy at the bottom which was disappointing.

It loses that final star for me for the hot chocolate...

Disappointing Experience All Around

Review: I recently visited this coffee shop, and it was an all-around disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and seemed to lack basic customer service skills. They barely acknowledged us and acted like we were inconveniencing them by simply ordering. For the high prices they charge, I expected at least decent food or a pleasant environment, but it was just regular, nothing special, and definitely not worth the cost.

The tables were filthy when we arrived, and we actually had to clean one off ourselves just to sit down. To make it worse, there were leftover dishes from the previous customer, which we had to clear off ourselves! The lack of professionalism here is astounding. I won’t be coming back and would not recommend this...

I had a wonderful breakfast at Picnic Sagres! They have a great selection of vegan options. The coffee was fresh and provided a great start to my day. While the service wasn't particularly fast, it was relaxed and friendly, which fit perfectly with the overall laid-back atmosphere. The charming decor, with its simplistic setup of tables and chairs, added to the experience. Just be aware that seating is limited, so you might not find a seast inside, especially during peak hours. I highly recommend Picnic Sagres for a leisurely and delicious breakfast.

Picnic Sagres is a trendy coffee spot that quickly became one of my favorites. Their coffee is consistently excellent, rich in flavor and always served with a smile. The cozy atmosphere invites you to linger and enjoy your time—whether you’re working, socializing, or just taking a break. Plus, the free WiFi is a huge bonus, especially if you need to catch up on emails or do a bit of remote work. With its stylish interior, warm vibe, and high-quality brews, Picnic Sagres is a true gem worth visiting.
