I recently booked two rooms at Al Mansour Plaza Hotel for myself and a friend. However, due to a sudden change in plans, my friend couldn't join me. Within an hour of check-in, I visited the reception to inform them about the cancellation. What followed was an extremely unpleasant encounter with the receptionist.
The receptionist displayed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service skills. When I explained the situation and requested a cancellation, he responded in a rude and condescending manner, stating that the hotel is not a supermarket. His tone escalated into shouting, which was entirely uncalled for. I requested to speak to the manager, but the receptionist outright refused my request, leaving me feeling unheard and disrespected.
Moreover, the condition of the room I stayed in was far from satisfactory. The room was dirty, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The state of the shower was particularly disappointing, with outdated fixtures that made it feel like a relic from the 80s.
The behavior of the receptionist, combined with the unsanitary condition of the room, left me with a negative impression of Al Mansour Plaza Hotel. It is essential for a hotel to prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a pleasant experience, but my encounter here fell significantly short of those expectations.
I would not recommend Al Mansour Plaza Hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming stay. The unprofessional attitude of the staff and the lack of cleanliness in the rooms are clear indicators that the hotel does not prioritize guest satisfaction. I hope management takes immediate steps to address these issues to prevent future guests from having similar experiences.

My office booked for my One day Quaratine stay.From Airport to Hotel properly transported. No parking space available.Driver stopped road and rushed me to handover me around 12.30AM early morning. Hotel Security said me to sit at corner. Collected my passport and vaccine certificate to keep it in reception for room allotment. Oh bad!!!,time crossed around 3 am.Finally they said,No room available for me.Alongwith,4 more persons strucked at reception. I requests to help as I'm too tired and sleep.Can't bear to sit and sleep!!!. No room available until 5.30am. TOTAL 5.30 hours strucked in reception and can't go out due to quarantine restrictions.No Food,tea or Coffee atleast basic expectation. After a several government toll free complaints,receptionist alloted me a room to sleep around 6AM.around 10.30 medical team took Antigen test. Lucky that within two hours got a result and checked out.I found breakfast menu Arabic bread with dal and two eggs....Lunch box afraid to open and after checkout,I rushed to restaurants.No security to carry luggage while checkout.
Mostly everyday Quarantine stays are sitting at Reception and no other option.

Parking & Logistics: Parking was a disaster — the area is very tight and poorly organized, making it nearly impossible to park properly.
Cleanliness & Housekeeping: The room was far from clean. The bed sheets had a very unpleasant smell, suggesting low-quality cleaning products. As a couple, we expected at least two towels, but only one was provided. There was no hair dryer in the room until we requested it. Dust had collected under the window, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Overall, the hygiene standards need serious improvement.
Pool & Facilities: The pool area was small and completely unregulated. We saw several children swimming in their pajamas and robes instead of proper swimwear. Even worse, they proceeded to use the gym equipment while dripping wet from the pool. No staff or security were present to supervise or enforce any rules. One child even entered the elevator soaking wet. This lack of oversight is unacceptable.
Guest Experience: We approached reception to raise our concerns, hoping to have some privacy and enjoyment as a couple. Instead of helping, the staff dismissed us and defended the lack of rules, saying that “Arab guests are different.” This kind of response is unprofessional and unacceptable.
