I have just come back from my short holiday at Piatra Neamt.||||I decided to stay to this villa because I liked its position on a hill. And I was right. The villa is situated about 3 km away from the center of the town. From the main road you have to turn right, exactly where is the sign- PENSIUNEA MOLDOVA.||||You will climb about 100 m on a road having small pebbles and there you will find a parking space, just outside the villa. ||||Everything was green with a lot of flowers. We were greeted by a white, small dog, that was very cute.||||We arrived around noun and we were immediately check-in in. We took an apartment with 2 rooms- very spacious- an entry hall, 2 separate rooms and a large bath with bathtub. The apartment did not have air-conditioned. But we did not need it, even though outside was very hot.||||Everything was very cleaned. Each room had his own Tv set and in one of the room we had the mini bar- that worked very well.||||Each room had its own balcony that faced to the lake. We could see the lake, the forest and the mountain.||||Since it was noon we decided to eat at their restaurant. The food was excellent and tasty. We eat our breakfast at the restaurant, too – this was very fresh and tasty with a lot of choices- a lot of products came from their own yard. The breeze and the wooden terrace made us enjoy our food. The staff was very helpful.||||The room was cleaned every day. The linen and the towels were clean and smelled very nice. The hot water was running almost instantly.||||From this point you can visit monasteries – like Bistrita Monastery- you have to turn right when you reach the main road- about 3 km away.||||And then you can visit Varatec Monastery( which is being remodeled now ), Agapia Monastery , Targu Neamt with his nice rebuild city, uphill, and the Monastery of Neamt.||||This is a place where I would like...
Read moreFirst let me say that if you unfortunate enough to find yourself in piatra neamt, a dull town, this would only add to the pity of it all. Pension Moldova looks decent on the face of it. But problems began at once. The property is set back from the road on a dirt road, unattractive road appeal, and as we approached a wild dog barked and threatened and leapt around our car, like Cujo! Welcome to you, too, buddy boy. Our rooms were uncomfortably warm. While in the bathroom, a mouse ran across the floor. The night clerk offered me another room. The bed was a thin mattresses that was pure springs and quite uncomfortable...the kind of mattress a sofa bed might have. The towel was so stiff and rough, I actually though I had mistakenly picked up the floor matt. Breakfast was a la carte, and adequate, although the cold milk had scald skin on top, which was a mystery. The front office staff had no maps of the area to offer, or restaurant advice. The low cost is great, but you get what you...
Read moreThe pension is a good place to stay for a few days. It's location is quite ok, at the exit of Piatra Neamt, but not so far to the city. Is not situated on the road so is quiet. Around they have a lot of vegetation ; in the yard you can find a barbeque and some tables where you can stay with friends and family and enjoy a nice afternoon or evening. The atmosphere is not very cosy and familial because it more looks like a hotel. The restaurant is quite big, enough even for weddings, actually it was one when we stayed there. The rooms are ok...big enough. The bath was ok, clean, but not so big. The only problem we had was with the heating, was very cold outside and they didn't turn on the central heating. But we requested to do something in order to solve this problem, so they gave us very kindly an electric radiator and everything was ok finally. Is better to call first and make a reservation because is pretty crowded. All in all was a...
