Called and booked 2 rooms on the 31st of March; asked if a reservation fee is required or if we should expect a email confirmation to serve as proof and were assured that we have noting to worry about. Here is how the events transponded on the 6th of April - the check-in date: 14:15 - arrived at the check-in desk (all 4 persons) and my wife kindly states the name the booking was under. 14:16 - after having a vague look over the list - the woman at the check-in desk whom shall be referred to hence forward as Sally - stated that there is no booking under that name and asks if by chance we haven't been there already because the name is verry familiar to her. 14:17 - taken aback by the unexpected response - I inform Sally that we've called and spoke with a lady whom assured us that no further action was required from our end. 14:18 - after stating with a slight indignation that she's is the one handling the booking service Sally then explains that the hotel was currently occupied with guests attending a wedding event and that she cannot offer the same room type we requested. 14:20 - feeling that the conversation is going South I let Sally know that we are part of the same wedding event and ask the support of the person who recommended this hotel (who was already checked in there). 14:30 - after elaborating things with the event planner, Sally let's us know that she is able to offer us the 'same price' as the group we were part of - which from the looks of things was 20% more than what we were quoted back in March and around 40% more than what the group was actually paying. 14:40 - at this point all 4 individuals agree to pay extra since we've been let to believe it will include the originally quoted room configuration - the same type the rest of the group was benefiting from. 14:42 - my wife offers to pay for the service using a credit card but I insist that I would rather pay cash to which Sally sarcastically replies that she's not trying to scam us. 14:43 - Sally, after thoughtfully charging for the first suite informs us that, we may have misunderstood what she meant by 'the same' services as the group. 14:45 - at this point I lost my temper, asked for a refund(thank God we haven't paid with a Credit card) and left the hotel premises. Conclusion: Please consider a trustworthy booking apps - it ensures better quality service or if forced try to bully the receptionist into sending you a email confirmation.
