Business Hotel situated in a suburb of Bucharest. The distance to the airport is ca. 10 km, which takes only 10 min by taxi (needless to say this does not include rush hours;)). The business room I've stayed in was not to small, and had a sitting area next to the window. It was also nice that the hotel room included a table with all necessary equipment to work in the room. This also included an USB-charger in the outlet. That was a nice gimmick!
The room was tidy and well equipped with towels and other goodies on my arrival. It was just a pitty that the two beds in the room were sliding away from each other if you made movements in the bed. The bed in general was comfortable, even though I have to remark that I also had better ones. There was space to put away my luggage as well as a closet for your clothes.
The bathroom instead was a little bit too small for my sense. If you were standing in front of the toilet you almost hit yourself with the door while closing it. The shower/ tube combination is also something that not everybody likes. At least the tube was clean! There was also enough hot water to enjoy your shower or bath. The only pitty was, that the flushing-lever at the toilet was not working properly in my room, as well as in the room of a colleague. You had to put it with strength back in the last possible setting to stopp the water running all the time. What I was really wondering was the sound of the toilet if the neighbours room (one level above mine) was flushing or using water. The sound that I've heard was the noise like there is a river coming downwards the ceiling. This was definitely not nice, but respectively the age of the hotel... it's surely present because of the construction and not a failure.
All in all: This hotel offers a good stay if you are on a conference or business trip! The price (booked in advance) is totally OK and the breakfast (that gives you a broad opportunity of everything) is included! If you prefer a higher standard or something more modern, you will also find a hotel in the sorrounding...

Read moreThe experience had in this Ramada Plaza Bucharest, during those hours of participation in a meeting, was a terrible one, unrepeatable. I do not recommend this hotel at least considering this aspect.||The Restaurant area of this hotel is populated by unprofessional, extremely rude staff, with gross attitudes, being careless and unable to understand a simple, common situation(s). Moreover, the Restaurant “professionals” does not know how to interact with customers, and they proved unable to offer a simple solution to a simple situation in their area of activity. Their approach and communication with customers are not even up to that level of an ordinary neighborhood pub. ||The employee at the Reception desk, to a simple question about the swimming pool schedule in this hotel just turned out to be hostile and unpleasantly surprised, inviting me to consult the Internet if I am looking for details. The obtuseness and incoherence of this employee's answers, the unprofessionalism and arrogance with which she treats customers were completely incomprehensible. ||However, If you to leave and to pay for parking, get ready to have a surprise, because it seems that the news of card payment has not reached this hotel. You will be in the situation of only cash payments for the parking, and obviously any detail with reference to this aspect asked at the Reception desk will clash with the arrogance, ineptitude and rudeness of the person behind the counter. ||Anyway, as a short summary, if you really want to experience unprofessional, rude behavior that has nothing to do with the hospitality industry, the Ramada Plaza Bucharest Hotel is the ideal...
