I had the unfortunate experience of attending Face Club on Saturday, 8th July around 11pm ,and it was an evening that left a sour taste in my mouth. I had reserved a table for a group of nine people, expecting a night of enjoyment and celebration. Little did I know that the establishment had a few surprises in store for us.
Upon arrival, we were shocked to learn that there was an entrance fee of 100 lei per person, a detail conveniently omitted from the reservation terms and conditions. When we raised our concerns about being charged for entry when we had a table reservation with a minimum spend, we were met with dismissive and unsatisfactory answers.
To make matters worse, I arrived earlier with a friend and, to my disbelief, we were not charged the entrance fee. The host at the door informed me that the reason I was exempt from the charge was that I spoke Romanian, while my friends conversed in English. This discriminatory policy, favoring locals and discriminating against tourists, is simply unacceptable and completely unjustifiable.
To further illustrate the inconsistency and lack of professionalism, my Romanian friend questioned why she was charged despite being from Bucharest herself. The security personnel at the door did not bother to inquire about our origins before charging us, each and every one, the fee of 100 lei per person. Not only were we subjected to discrimination, but we were also denied receipts for the charges.
The behavior of the staff throughout this was appalling. They were rude, arrogant, and displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. It is disheartening to witness a nightclub promoting such discriminatory practices and targeting tourists as a means to extract additional money from unsuspecting patrons.
Feeling deeply disappointed and embarrassed as a Romanian, I felt compelled to request a refund and decided to take my friends elsewhere. I refuse to spend my hard-earned money in an establishment that not only tolerates but actively promotes discrimination.
In conclusion, my experience at this nightclub on Saturday, 8th July, was nothing short of a nightmare. The club's failure to disclose the entrance fee in advance, coupled with discriminatory practices and the unprofessional behavior of the staff, has left me with a bitter impression. I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment, as it clearly prioritizes profits over fair treatment and customer satisfaction. Also I will make sure I will do a written complain to authorities on the next couple of days at CNCD. If you are a tourist avoid this Club...
Read moreVisiting Bucharest for one night and some friends recommended Face as the place. It looked like a fancy place. Hence I called and asked about the dress code and made sure I comply. Since I am alone I asked if I would need a reservation and I was told no I just have to pay 50 Lei and I could stay at the bar.
I have arrived 10 mins after my call and receiving the confirmation that I wouldn’t need a reservation.. all dressed up and the arrogant door man asked if I have a reservation and I said no so he said that I can’t enter it’s only by reservation. I said that I called and showed him the phone call log with time stamps and he still refused. I told him that I would like to have a reservation; he said a table costs 2000 lei as a minimum spend and I said ok no problem am fine with that. Anyways my average bill would have been 5-7k. He looked at me in shock and said sorry we are full tonight.
I called the club again and asked for a reservation they told me it’s 2000 spend and I said ok. Then the lady took my details and asked how many people are we and I said one person. She goes sir if you are one person then you don’t need to book it’s 50 Lei and u can stay at the bar. I told her that her colleagues said I need to have a reservation no walk In entry.
I respect and understand club policies. I have been to the biggest and fanciest clubs around the world all the way from Eroupe to LA to Japan and I have never been denied entry.
With all fairness the attitude of the door men sucked and they possessed a large deal of arrogance and disrespect.
It seems the club is doing well, however every customer experience counts no matter what.
You have lost what could have been a loyal and a big spender...
Read moreHorrible spot, would recommend to look for a night out elsewhere! Me and 9 friends booked a table at this club, at arrival we were seated at a table big enough for 8 people tops. When we took the liberty to take two additional seats from tables next to us we were spoken to like we were doing something out of the ordinary.
When we wanted to order 10 beers we got told that it is mandatory to order a bottle, which is not stated on the website or their menu. The minimum spend should safeguard them for a minimum income so this pushy way of upselling as very disappointing. When we agreed to buy absolute vodka, which was on the menu, we were told this was sold out so we had to switch to Belvedere, the more expensive option. An hour later a table of women in front of us had a bottle of absolute vodka. When we asked about the matter we were told this was only being sold to employees who came on a night out. We told our waiter this is a ridiculous practice since 1) it is mentioned on your menu, and 2) we were being lied to when ordered initially.
Overal this club will try everything to get your bill as high as possible. The overal vibe was off, no shared dancing area but only people at their table who looked angrily at you it your eyes crossed.
On the positive side, the performances were very...
