For me a hotel is mostly about sleep quality! If it lacks in that area for me is the beginning of a very unpleasant stay. ||I picked this hotel because of the good reviews it had just to be disappointed. I stayed there just one night and that was the only reason why I did not moved (or asked for a different room). I requested a room that gets as dark as possible and as quiet as possible so I was given room 204. The room is spacious enough with old style furniture but with a small and crowded bathroom. The finishing touches in the room leave to be desired but that was not the problem. The light switches by the bed did not work there was only a power outlet by the bed and it was at the center of the bed (just over the bed) inconveniently placed so you can’t really use it and that is not the bad part. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable with a very hard mattress the curtains in the room don’t cover the entire window and the room has NO sound proofing (I could hear the people in the next room speaking, the AC from there room and every 30 seconds some clicking sound from the hallway from a utility room). So all night I twisted and turned because of the mattress and I was up at 5:30 because of the light in the room. When I did the reservation it was said that it has a bathtub and that I get lake view and a balcony… I got a balcony (that is incredibly small of no use whatsoever), no lake view just a view of a roof full of burned cigarettes and the bathtub is actually a shower that was leaking all around and you can’t take a shower without hydro massage because the selector is broken and so are some other things in the shower.||The breakfast was good, varied and the staff was nice but my stay overall was a disaster.||So I would stay out of this hotel or at least from...
Read moreWe end up at this hotel by pure chance and we were blessed. Very clean and nice smelling rooms, with new and comfortable furniture and sheets. The hotel manager and the entire staff were extremely helpful, generous, polite and modest. They also serve a very good coffee and on request, a nice fresh, warm breakfast!
They have private monitored parking, the cleaning in the room was done daily, the room is spacious and it has a mini refrigerator, hangers, plenty of outlets, towels, smart TV and AC (the pictures will tell more). The location is perfect: you are 5 minutes by walk to Delfinariu, there is a Lidl near by, a mall l, the beach was close, city tour station nearby, Profi shop, pharmacy, places to eat, ATMs, and many more.
We loved the period we stood there, everything was amazing and we will...
Read moreWe stayed at Golden Rose Hotel for 2 nights during June, 18-20th 2016. We chose this hotel for its location very close to the Delphinium.||I liked:||- large room, furnished in good taste||- clean||- the shower cabin equipped with radio||- amiable personnel||- Wi-Fi is ok||- very close to the Delphinium (3 minutes’ walk) and beach (10 minutes’ walk)||- easy public transport with to the center (Casino cliff) and railway (around 30 minutes)||||I didn’t like:||- very hard mattress and pillows||- the ventilation in the bathroom didn’t cope with the humidity||- the shower hove must be replaced||- limited options breakfast||- small TV.|| ||I would consider this hotel for next visits to Constanta if they change the mattress...
