Hotel Bicaz Pirates Resort — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

A mixture of good and bad things. We noticed the nights before that the beach terrace was busy and full, so the conclusion: either very good or very cheap. We gave it a go, so one night we started earlier in order to find a free table: as one of the waiters told us, everything functions on a first come, first served basis, so here we are, table free, take a seat. Good impression: a pianist offering a nice and decent loud entertainment for the guests......and for 15-20 minutes nobody paid any attention to us. no welcome, no you are wrong seated, nothing...some guests coming a little bit later got the menus....and at one moment a waiters helper came to ask us if we wanted to see the menu....I was so close to answer I was there just for the piano player, but my son was hungry, so we stayed. After we decided what to order, we waited again, even though I thought the terrace was well staffed and the waiters seemed to move quite fast. So my son and wife took a usual meal ( chicken and fries) I decided to try "something special" as the staff wrote it on the menu-some oysters - sorry, we can't offer them, ok, a tripe soup- sorry we don't serve it at dinner, so back to the good old Barbosa mussels. Drinks came fast and so did the food, I must say. For my mussels, positive was the quantity ...and that's it. The rest of the food, nice served...and finito.. no other remarks. in the end the cake of my childhood was good, but the coffee in the tone of the evening....From my point of view, I wouldn't make the same...

Pentru 440 RON pe noapte mi se pare inadmisibil sa găsesc mucegai în "cabina" de duş; nu puțin mucegai, ci destul încât să mă întreb dacă plec sănătoasă sau cu o intreagă cultură de ciuperci pe tălpi.

Sorry for the low score, but the BATHROOM was DIRTY and smelly (really bad smell, like someone shoved a corpse in there). There is MOLD on the floor of the shower cabin, not sanitary at all and actually gross. Not to mention the fact that taking a shower means flooding the entire bathroom floor. Really, for all the money you get you should put some floor tiles in the bathroom, not that cheap linoleum which got mold on it. Also, breakfast was awful. Nothing on the plate was fresh. Cheap food, greasy and tasteless. It's a shame this hotel is not well managed because it has a lot of potential, being so close to the beach.

P.S.: To answer to your reply listed below, I don't care what kind of linoleum it is or how much it costs, because in the end it still had mold on it and smelled bad and clearly it was...

We just needed a place to sleep during a short trip to Mamaia, so we booked this hotel for 2 nights.||Pros: ||- location on the beach||- clean sheets||- clean toilet||- rooms with balcony||- partial sea view||- complimentary toiletries||- friendly staff||||Cons: ||- oldish furniture||- old CRT television set||- old and rusty shower cabin, but decent||- the cleaning lady did not use the vacuum cleaner during our stay (also, when we arrived, I found a peach kernel under the bed - no vacuum cleaning under the beds it seems)||- dirty tables in their restaurant||- flies wandering inside the restaurant while the food was displayed on tables - absolutely disgusting||- average breakfast - the hot dogs are awful||- average dinner ||||This is an OK hotel if you just need a place to sleep that is near the beach, but enjoy your...
