Hotel Dorna — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

I can declare myself so happy with our stay to this hotel. We are so pleased with everything they offer. The hotel recently underwent a major refurbishment, and this can be seen in any corner of this hotel: 🌟the entrance and reception area are so beautiful and peaceful, everything in the right place with the right accessories and music. In my opinion,the best welcome anyone can offer 🌟the rooms: spotless clean and big enough for 2 adults and 1 child. A balcony, air conditioning, hair dryer and a small fridge with a tiny freezer,but enough for what we needed. 🌟restaurant: we've had breakfast included in our package, and there were some many to choose from. The food is always fresh. Sustainable, sourced from romanian local producers, such us honey.I'm so happy with everything we had. Cons: they could add one more coffee machine because when they are too many people, a big queue is forming. 🌟pool: 2 pools, one for adults and for kids. The water in the adults one it's quite cold,but the kids one is warm enough. Cons: For kids, they could use a sunshade because it's so hot during summer months you can barely stay in water. 🌟beach: 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Only hotel guests are allowed to use the beach. We've had included during all our stay 2 sun loungers and towels, and this was great. If you find a hotel with sun loungers included,go ahead because they are really expensive. Cons: 1. at the beach bar, you cannot pay by card,only cash. 2.The staff should have a minimum of english and it more training provided. 3: no toilet facilities in the beach, we've had to walk to our hotel room every time .

Overall, we are so happy with our stay. The hotel is located in a good location, with plenty of restaurants and bars around. Just a few minutes walk there is also a small store from where you can buy drinks, snacks or beach accessories. I've read some review about the fact that the hotel is situated in a noisy area. We didn't have any issues to be honest because the rooms feels like they are really well soundproofed Very close to the bus station, 2 minutes walk. Parking was included on the room price. During our stay, they were preparing a play room for the little ones,which is a great bonus. Our little one playes a lot in the room in the last 2 days of our stay and he absolutely loved it. We were in late august one week at Dorna hotel, two adults with one child (2 y).||From outside hotel looks ok. ||First thing on reception we asked for parking, and the receptionit said that we should take care on our own because the hotel has a long waiting list of free parking. So of course we need it to pay some one to find us a parking space, even if the parking hotel lots were free over the barrier.||After that we check in a fird floor matrimonial room. The room was nice, but there are a few thing to be changed for a 3 star hotel :||- wc was leaking from the bottom||- shower cabin has mold||- the old door was like you have no door at all, you could hear every thing from the hotel.||- the under bed is old so if your partner moves you hear the bed moving||- some old things that are working ok, could be replaced (fridge)||- you can hear water dromps at night from the air conditioned drawning sistem.||In the first night there were a "manele" concert and the noise was loud and we could not sleep until 2 am, when we asked at reception they didn't know anything about it.||Services were very bad at reception, when I asked for parking, wireless password or even when we check in we were not been explain what is the all inclusive concept even there were no other persons waiting for other services .||At the bar, pool or restaurant everything was ok. ||Children playground contains a few thing to do and there is a youg girl (under 18) that is playing from time to time with kind (you cannot leave a minor to oversee a minor). ||The staff cleans the pools (big and for kids) and the playground everyday .||The food is good, at the breakfast (same every day) you can find eggs, chees, hot dogs, fruits, at lunch and dinner the food is good, but not high end, the children buffet contains two things (so is like is not there), the cakes tastes the same every day .||All the staff from restaurant and pools were students under 18 (almost all) . They done a great job, but sometimes they don't know how to treat guests (there were almost 45 minutes to dinner ends and they were told by a supperior to gather the napkins from the tables ).||If you want a hotel near the beach, unsophisticated but good food, small playground, free drinks at the pool this may be for you. If you want all inclusive 4 or 5 stars like Turkey or Bulgaria (because the price is somewere to a 4 star hotel from theese countries), search...

I've been here last year, now I went again. Hotel is busy, even in early september, probably because of the travel tickets from the gouverment.||Unfortunately the good things from Dorna are shadowed by the bad stuff.||Rooms are clean, shower is not leaking, toilet is clean, the cleaning ladyes are waking you up from 7.30 because they are making noise on the corridor so if you want late sleep forget it .||It is very hot air in the room, unfortunately the air conditioning is pointing directly to the bed so you cannot sleep with it .||Food is ok, is like a canteen food, you always find something to eat, but the quality is not great, food is sometimes cold, cackes have all the same taste, breakfast cereals not good and cheap . Problem comes when you want to sit down because the tables are not enought for everyone, especialy at dinner time, everyone is asking for chairs or tables .||Parking = 0. If you want parking at the reception you get always no parking lots, you need to pay the guardian to find a parking lot for you .||Beach is dirty with cigaretes, you will never find place in the from of the sea even you wake up at 7 .||A guy that sang a few nights had bad jokes (you are slow like a diesel engine he sad) .||Overall if you don't mind these things Dorna is a good hotel, even for...
