Hotel Romantic — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

An absolutely awful experience at this hotel, where customers get yelled at! Firstly, the personnel did not make us feel like we were welcome here; they handled my girlfriend (she is not from Romania) and I as if we were completely wasting their time. The description said they speak English, Spanish and Romanian. They could not speak anything else than romanian, not even the most basic English. When we finally got to the room, the air conditioning did not work. We called the receptionist in and she said we broke it, and that it in fact worked. It pumped warm air, and the room was and still is hotter than outside. It's 37 degrees outside. Moreover the room STANK of sewage, they had to put chlorine in the bathroom to remove the odor. Now it stinks of chlorine instead. We went back down to ask for fixing the aircon or get another room then I started being yelled at! My girlfriend was completely terrified. I asked the receptionist for her name to have a reference and discuss with the hotel's leadership but they wouldn't give it to us. We asked for the managers name and number, we wouldn't get that neither. Now we have to be here for 6 days in a room thats 40 degrees, smelling like sewer but they market they have a good view. By the way, in the description of the hotel they state they have parking facilities but there are five parking spots for the entire hotel which are of course never available. The receptionist started laughing at us when we said that in the description of the hotel they offer free parking. An extremely unpleasant experience, even scary for the feint hearted. From being yelled at, blamed for ruining the airconditioning, laughed at for expecting them to fulfill their description. Oh yes, the telephone to the reception was hidden in a drawer and defective, the screen was literally missing and the speaker moving around clonking inside the receptor. The receptionist saw it and started complaining about customers and how she was extremely kind to come up to us when she is not paid for that. The view to the lake might be beautiful but there are so many other places with the same view, please...

We have stayed in several different hotels in Mamaia and this one has to be one of the worst experiences although there is not alot of choice unless you pay alot of money during peak season. However we paid nearly 100 euros a night which is not cheap and for that price alot more is expected. The location of the hotel is excellent and some rooms (not all) are quite spacious with a good balcony and view of the lake on one side of the hotel. That's where the good news ends as most rooms have problems connecting to WiFi, bathrooms which need repairing (ie loose toilet seats or sinks coming off the wall), and in my case a refrigerator that didn't work. It seems they are trying to save money as they only give you one key card even though the room is for two people. This means the air con (which again doesnt work well in some rooms) is not on when you come back to the room. They also use cheap sachets of shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms which dont always get replaced when they have been used, in my case the shower gel was never replaced so i had to use the shampoo for duel use! Upon arrival at the hotel my room had no towels at all. This is never a three star hotel like most hotels in romania as the small things can make all the difference. If you are prepared to accept a few things not working or dont mind sleeping on a bed as hard as nails then go ahead and book but i will not be returning. The staff are generally ok but one will swear black is white when there is clearly something not right, they should all go on a course entitled 'the paying customer is always right' but romania is still lagging behind when it comes to customer service, it is simply not enough to smile and look pretty at...

Worst place I've ever stayed at ! ||||DO NOT CHOSE THIS HOTEL YOU WILL REGRET IT ! |||| When we arrived there was no duvet and when we asked for one they told me they haven't finished washing yet and gave me a thin blanked instead , after having a close look i realised it was dirty ! ||||The cleaning lady said that it will be given to us in a few days but THAT NEVER HAPPENED ! ||||||We complained but the reception staff were very rude and unprofessional and refused to do something about it ! ||||We also booked a room with a lake view but when we arrived they told us they were all booked even tho we did book it in advance and gave us a room on the other side with loud construction works going on ! ||||Not to mention the breakfast variety is so poor with very cheap products and no vegetarian options. And after they run out they refuse to fill iy up again for the remaining guests even tho we paid for breakfast! ||||||Overall I'm very disappointed with this hotel and i won't be coming back . ||||DO NOT STAY HERE ! there's better options for the...
