Hotel Scala — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

Spent three nights in this hotel, only because the Boulevard Hotel next door was fully booked. This hotel is struggling to make a three star rating. Rooms are OK but not spectacular, those at the front all have a large balcony facing onto the main street, but sound levels inside were no problem. However, on the downside - there are no hairdryers in the room and the shower is equipped only with a body soap of some kind which is not even pretending to also be a shampoo. The 'restaurant' is a room in the basement of the hotel, completely devoid of atmosphere and resembling a school canteen. The breakfast is sparse to say the least, some sweating cheese and cold meats (completely uncovered with a few flies buzzing about - and it was circa 38 degrees when we were there), fake orange juice like the stuff that you used to be able to make from powder, some truly revolting omlette type stuff and hot dogs, a dish of tomatoes and cucumbers, cold coffee or do it yourself tea - and that is it. All laid out on an enormous table, just to make it look even less than it acually is. We didn't even think about eating there in the evening.||A lot of the hotel buildings in Constanta look a bit Communist-grim and the Scala is not the worst of them, but neither is it close...

Let us begin: dirty bathroom, the sink was stained with what seems to be makeup foundation or paint, burn stains on the side of the sink, probably from cigarettes dirty shower and what looks to be like mold old, unaired smell in the room, like water used to keep flowers for a few weeks dirty sheets, had traces of what looked like wine (or blood). However, they did not smell dirty none of the two soap dispensers in the bathroom were filled. Both empty old fashioned furniture with an ancient TV (I used to play terminator on one of these) batteries were not replaced on the TV/AC

I think that's about it, for a 400/night hotel (mid season) I think I am being more then generous with 2/5. A decent emergency hotel if you really, really need a...

Personal de nota zece dar nu pot spune același lucru despre administrator în descrierea locației ne garantează o priveliște la gradina, spre lacul tăbăcărie sau la mare ceea ce nu este adevărat, vederea este spre mare nu la mare,iar lacul doar de la etajele superioare.In ceea ce privește cazarea in camerele fara balcon nu exista un uscător nu ai cînd vii de la plaja unde sa îți usuci costumul de baie sau prosopul decât un calorifer mic in baie ,dacă ești familie cu copil est insuficient,de asemenea lipsa unui covoraș lîngă cada poți oricând aluneca după duș trebuie sa fii foarte atent atunci cînd ieși din ea și trebuie să mergi pina la ușă să îți iei prosopul deoarece nu există un agățător in apropierea căzii,de asemenea am fost întimpinați in prima zi cu o lenjerie urit mirositoare nu știu dacă a fost sau nu schimbata cu una murdara sau care a stat în mașină de spălat o săptămână dar era imposibil de suportat mirosul coveltura de pe pat patata și arsa de țigară foarte vechi prosoape rupte ,am apreciat însă că la jumătatea sejurului mi sa schimbat lenjeria și prosoapele cu una într-adevăr curata (fara sa cer eu asta) chiar daca și acestea erau cu pete pe ele deci concluzia este că prețul pentru o noapte de cazare este mult prea mare pentru serviciile oferite. Acest hotel are potențial dacă se investește în el și dacă este administrat de o persoană competentă care sa se gândească și la client nu doar la veniturile proprii jos...
