Hotel Splendid 1900 — Hotel in Craiova Metropolitan Area

+The cleanest, well-kept and beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in Craiova. +The location was also great, in the heart of the City +the breakfast was enough. +AC was working perfect +There was not only the kettle, there was also a special coffee machine +Tv channels were totally enough and also there was free Netflix

it was not so good to use the same liquid as a hand, body and hair shampoo. I stayed for more than 10 days and my hair fell out a lot. I regret not bringing my own shampoo it was not good to gave only one free bottle of water during my stay. a bottle could be left in my room every day. -having only two hangers in the closet wasn't enough for someone like me with too much clothes -The mosquitoes.if you leave the window open , it won't let you sleep through the night and will eat you.Keep the windows closed. While the room is pretty, buyer beware. Air conditioning is listed as a room amenity but ONLY if the hotel has deemed fit to turn it on for the whole building. The temperature in our room was 30.5 C or 87° F when we arrived and the only windows are so high we had to stand on the back of a chair to reach them to open. Even then there was very little air movement. One of our complimentary water bottles was over half empty. The refrigerator was inoperable so in addition to a hot room we had hot water. The registration staff was less than friendly. There is no shower, per se, only a tub with a hand held shower wand.|I have never written a bad review for a hotel so trust me when I say this is not the place to stay. I am giving it 3 stars rather than 2 to account for the look and location....

No air conditioning on the 2nd floor (attic) and you have to deal with temperature over 27 degrees C (80F). When I checked in I noticed the issue and went to the reception and they stated it will be fixed. I returned to my room at midnight to discover that they did not even check. the room, and the new receptionists says this is not a client service office. Horror. No chance to move or to find another hotel at this hour, but the air is unbreathable. The feeling of not being able to have a dialogue with a representative of the hote is quite frustrating. SO IF YOU VISIT CRAIOVA DURING SUMMER, do not book...
