Nest Guesthouse — Hotel in Drobeta-Turnu Severin

Staying at the Nest Guesthouse? It's tastefully appointed, in a great location and very clean. The rooms are tidy and the beds are comfortable. We all slept very well. Also, the access to daily breakfast and the endless, good European coffee and tea was also a plus! The staff is genuine and friendly. Town center is a quick walk away and everything is handy -- ATMs, churches, restaurants, drug stores, etc. We highly recommend the Nest Guesthouse and would stay here again!||A shout out to Romania! We (my daughter, son-in-law and myself) loved our trip so very much. I was in Drobeta Turnu-Severin for a school course I was taking, so while I was in class during the day, my family went off site seeing. My 11-month-old granddaughter was with us -- and she also did very well. We found the townspeople very receptive to a baby which was refreshing. Our room was positioned next to the reception desk, which was quite loud at times. There is also a refrigerator outside the room which also gets quite loud. It was also next to the breakfast place so I was getting woken up early each morning by noises like the coffee machine.

Our room had no natural light due to no windows.

We later moved to another room which was nicer. It had natural light and a balcony. I can't speak for the other rooms, I just know that the room we stayed in should never have been made into a hotel room.

The location is fine, but the town is small, so it doesn't really matter so much. Apart from the hotel's self-inflicted noises, the area is generally quite quiet.

If we had had the second room from the start, I would give this hotel a better rating, but the first was so bad, which we stayed in 75% of...

We stayed two nights at Nest Guesthouse and we were very happy with it. |It was the only hotel on our 11 days Romania trip that was actually extremely clean and where the hotel staff were very very friendly and polite.||Also the breakfast was very nice (small but there was everything we needed) and there was coffee available for free all day.||Our room was very big and nice and as I already said very clean and modern. The bed was also very comfortable.||The only thing that I can critisize are the doors because they‘re not very well isolated (you could hear the other guests in the staircase quite well). But at least the hotel informed people to be quiet during night hours.||We can totally recommend...
