This hotel is located barely 5 minutes walk from the railway station, which is why we chose it. ||Our train from Brasov arrived just before 12:00 so we headed to the hotel to see if we could leave our bags and head off into the fortified part of the town...||The receptionist / manager ( I wasn’t sure ) couldn’t have been more helpful, even though we had arrived a couple of hours before official check-in time (14:00) she made a couple of phone calls and managed to find a room that had already been cleaned and that we could use straight away. She explained that their booking system wouldn’t allow her to program a key card until official check-in time but she gave us the master key ( to the room not the hotel! ) in the meantime.||She told us when breakfast was served and we explained that we needed to leave very early as our train for Cluj left at 05:31 so we we wouldn’t need breakfast. Her response was one of horror, as in the thought of us going without breakfast, and she very kindly told us that she’d arrange for us to have some sandwiches etc ready in the morning.||The room, a deluxe double, was very comfortable with an effective air conditioning unit. A really nice and large jacuzzi bath as well which was great.||Fully stocked minibar at very reasonable prices. ||The next morning we went downstairs at just after 5 and lo and behold one of the staff was there to greet us with a bag of sandwiches, fruit and drink for our journey. All served with no fuss and at no extra charge ( our room rate included breakfast but I wasn’t expecting this to be included )||Having travelled extensively over the years this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Not necessarily in terms of comfort and amenities but in the way we were treated as valued guests and nothing was too much trouble. ||I’d return here in a heartbeat - not least because the medieval part of the town is amazing and I can’t recommend highly enough. ||Not sure if the hotel management will read this review but if you do, I’d like to thank you, from a very...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and was very pleased with the size of the room and the bathroom! Both was very big.|There was very clean everywhere and the staff was very nice and helpful.|The breakfast was included but we were not happy with the quality. |There was only 1 kind of bread and it was white. The jam was a very bad quality and so was the yoghurt according to my boyfriend. There were poor vegan options (the bread, some apples that were to old, some tomatoes, olives, bell peppers and cucumber), so I had to go to the local supermarket both days to buy better...
Read moreA really nice place. I was told it is a relatively new hotel, not that it matters. The staff are professionals, discrete, friendly when needed. Rooms are cosy, large, well equipped. The view from my room (third floor) was not spectacular as it overloked he new part of the town. I would have preferred to see the citadel but someone else had booked the room for me). All the same, any part of Sighisoara is beautiful. The breakfast options are varied - the tables are full of tasty, interesting dishes to...
