Decent hotel near the centre of Timisoara. Was more like a guesthouse than a hotel but it had everything you might need and they provide a nice swedish buffet breakfast. The staff were very nice and welcoming and overall I had a good night sleep and a pleasant stay. The only downside was that the soap was not topped up and was 1/3 full and didn't lasted for a two day stay. They do have a nice pool in the garden that is free of charge to use for the hotel clients. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use it due to the cold weather that day.

Stayed here at Hotel Perla in June 2017 with felllow European delegates for training. Fantastic location in the heart of Timisoara. Excellent facilities including gym, sauna, pool, terrace dining area, restaurant, bar, conference suites etc. Rooms are spacious, well designed, stunning and beyond comfortable with first class facilities, mini bar, TV, air con, super fast and reliable WIFI, laundry service. The hotel is spotless and the staff are friendly, helpful and always pleasant and ready to help! A wonderful hotel!

Great place that is not too expensive. It has a great suite with a swimming pool view. Breakfast is extraordinary and you can have it next to a swimmnig pool, which can add up to your fantastic experience on a sunny day. The staff is nice and helpful.

THE GOOD. The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful with what they could. Very good location, clean, silent. 10-15 walking distance from any interesting location. The restaurant was the best (I experienced) in town. There is a nice swimming pool, not warmed, too cool for end of May. Plenty of parking room!!!||THE NOT SO GOOD. There is no room service, hence this is not a 4* hotel, as advertised. The dinning room is outside the hotel, so in a rainy day one has to walk and get wet. I would not want to fully dress during a winter stay just to have my morning coffee. In the room, the air conditioning worked as a fan. The safe was broken. The reception desk was kind, but could offer no solution. After two night, for extra pay, we got an "apartment", with a terrace without a table to put a glass on. The Venetian blinds were partially functioning. The air conditioning dead. The next day someone fixed it. In the bathroom one bulb did not work. I fixed it. The shower flexible tubing was damaged, it was difficult to hold it. In the rooms there were no paper an pen to take notes. The phone function buttons did not work, so I had to guess "0" is the reception. The room had to entrances. One via the elevator, but they had only one key for two persons. The other, with an electronic key usable only after exiting the elevator and climbing the stairs one floor. As I said, this is not a 4* environment.||The management should pay more attention to maintenance details. One day the restaurant staff were "stiff" and stressed, very unusual. One whispered me "The boss is...

Having stayed for five nights in the hotel I enjoyed mainly the swimming pool. Upon arrival there was no receptionist in sight and apparently she was helping a customer for the second building on the premises. She showed up after ringing the bell but apparently I still had to wait. After 15 minutes of waiting I could finally check in. The room and bathroom were fine, the air-co could barely cool the place down but luckily at night I could open the windows for some fresh air. The room was kept clean well but I didn't understand why the minibar was not refilled after usage. So I went to the nearby supermarket and bought my own drinks. The garden and pool are well maintained but unfortunately nobody really watches the pool.Nobody takes a shower in advance which is not so hygienic. One afternoon two youngsters where listening to loud music, some nazi rap in Romanian, "heil hitler and welcome Mussolini", coming out of their own brought speakers. Drinking alcohol in the pool and smoking pot. That was unfortunate and luckily these guys didn't stay long but it was a downside on the whole pool experience that for the rest of the time was generally good. Breakfast was nice and the service good. Wanting to check out late I had to pay an extra 20€ which was not so great, especially having paid quite a lot for a single room and when coming home I read that in the price included I had the right to stay until 1 pm, I checked out at...

Spent three nights here. The hotel is very close to the city center, just 15 minutes of walking distance, placed in a quiet location. Very close to the Bega river and its park with restaurants terraces.|The room looked like there are some recent upgrades done but incomplete. |We slept on a bed sheet that was looking more like the mattress cover. Maybe the cleaning lady forgot to add the bed sheets, I was too embarrssed to ask. Or maybe that was the bed sheet and in this case I apologize. |We had a small double bed, but that was fine for us. The blanket was too small for both of us, though...|There was a bad smell in the bathroom so we had always kept the door closed as the ventilation was no doing any good. |The wifi was free and strong. |We paid for a 3* but was more like a 2. The only thing that saved 1 was the restaurant. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot, they were having a diverse and delicious menu. The reception personell was acting differently: a young man was nice and helpful and two ladies - one was looking quite unhappy and the other one not doing too many efforts to assist us as...
