Pensiunea Venus — Hotel in Timișoara

We stayed for just one night and didn't spend much time in the room, apart from sleeping. Despite the fact that this is a very cheap hostel, our room was reasonably well equipped and clean. Hostel has a garden which is rather nice and relaxing. The staff is very polite and helpful.||||Although the hostel is on a busy street, it was very quiet during the night, probably due to the fact that the rooms are located in the inner court, facing the garden. There was wireless available, but we couldn't connect from inside the room. It was forking properly in the garden, however.||||The hostel is located outside the town center, but it is within walking distance (I guess 30-40 minutes walking). You can park your car in the surrounding streets without problem.||||Overall, value for money is more than excellent, but don't expect 5 star luxury...

We stayed for only one night, but it was terrible. To begin with, the "3 stars" are imaginary. ||||The double room is incredibly small. The bed was horrible to sleep in as the matress was bent in the middle and no matter how you slept you kept rolling in there. ||||The bathroom was dark. Forget about washing your hair and drying it as there are no hair dryers in the bathroom. ||||The window to our room was 10cm away from a grey brick wall. This means we got no natural light. The TV was from the 90s so every single thing reminding of a 3 star location is fictional. There are no parking spots. You can only park in front of the hotel, on the sidewalk, and there are only 2 such spots available. The wifi password is hidden in a drawer so you have to look for it. Do not stay here, you are sure...

We were in late and out before 5 on our way from Brebou Nou to the airport. Munja100 and kristy w are both spot on. They have an excellent system to overcome the English language problem and managed to order us a taxi for 0500 that turned up bang on time, the procedure for leaving out of hours and keeping everything secure worked fine as well. Useful tip - across the road and straight down the road opposite is a mini-mart selling...
