Hotel Apollonia — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

Staying here for 2 nights, with check in we were given an annex room not in the main building that looked like it had been given a coat of paint and nothing else. I thought it seemed clean to start, but opening the fridge and there was very rotten bananas and someone elses food! The smell was vile. Breakfast was inedible, the eggs were like plastic and they didn't even have a toaster, all the staff seemed to be out having a smoke break. We had a coffee and a yogurt on day one and didn't even bother day on day two. They didn't bother cleaning the room either the next day. |One off the reasons i pick this place as it seemed to have good parking but we were not allowed into the courtyard. We had to park on the street. This was fine until we were leaving and while in the car one of the staff let a tour bus pull out and scrape our hire car. He was rude and didn't seem to care. |This place might look like good value but we stay in other places in Romania that were far better and...

I’ve been mislead about this hotel from the reviews written thinking is going to be a bad experience, but it was not at all. Upon arriving there were available parking spaces, we didn’t have any problems with the booking, which i was a little bit worried about because we paid for our small dog to stay with us, and there were no problems regarding this aspect. As i was still at home and I was reading reviews that were saying the rooms are cold or that at breakfast the hotel doesn’t replenish the food trays, we did not encounter any of those bad situation. In fact, i brought with me pijamas for very cold weather as expected from the reviews, but it was so warm and nice in the room that i slept only in my underwear. Overall, Hotel Apollonia offered us a very good stay, again pointing that we had our small pet with us, and every service offered...

This place is the equivalent of a 2 star hotel in the USA. They way overcharge for what one gets. I've been traveling for weeks across Romania and for 50% to 75% less I've stayed in numerous places significantly nicer. The only thing I'll give them is it was clean. Otherwise no wifi in rooms, I had to actually sit outside the building to get internet. Staff was unhelpful. When asked about wifi blamed on me. Yet the lobby has signal, but that's only for staff use. My room wasn't ever cleaned during my stay. Half the bed the springs were almost sticking through, the other half was ok. Bathrooms tiny and shower grout is all moldy. Carpet stains throughout property too. All the bad and its a hike to where there is any activity. Wouldn't stay here again.
