Kanopian Penthouse Hotel — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

|I booked a 2 night stay at the Kanopian Penthouse for work as it was close to my companies office in Brasov. I took an uber from the airport to where I thought the hotel was. Turns out the lobby area they have has been shut down with no directions on the window to explain how you would check in – it all felt like a bit of a scam to be honest! I went through Egencia and might be something to do with their booking system but I didn’t get any instructions on how to check in given the lobby was shut and had a for rent sign up!||In the end I had to get a colleague to come and ask someone in the next door shop if they knew anything about checking in. They directed us to a management company a block away with no signage that they had anything to do with the hotel. After speaking with someone, who’s job it wasn’t to check people in, she managed to find my booking through Expedia, not Egencia and checked me in.||I get that this isn’t really a hotel and is only a couple of apartments that get rented out but the directions and signage for anyone not knowing is pretty poor. Even the number to call isn’t manned by anyone. Their website doesn’t go into any detail as to how to check in, but this might get answered once you book with them directly but probably not if you are using a booking site like Egencia, Expedia, Booking.com etc..so beware….||That aside the room was amazing and very clean, but you might want to get them to ensure they have your booking and you know how...

This is my second stay at this property as I frequently travel to Brasov for my business meetings. I had an extremely pleasant stay and was very impressed that I chose again to stay with Kanopian. The staff are very friendly and multilingual. The staff also greeted me by my name which was impressive as not many properties do that with name recognition.The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It also features a beautiful bathroom with rain shower. The wifi connection was good which was very important for me as a business traveler. The location was also great as it was only 10 minutes by car to the city center. It is also right next to a big shopping mall so dining options are endless. They also had a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for guests upon arrival but unfortunately for me I do not drink hence was a pity. The weather in Brasov typically does not call for the need for an AC as it is mostly cold on most months which they have a heater but for the summer months, they have plenty of tower fans in the apartment to cool things down! I’ve visited Kanopian recently and I was surprised to discover that the apartments are exactly like in pictures! There are not a lot of places in the city that provide the exact same thing as in the pictures. The apartment was beautiful, the host was amazing and always there to support with everything. The jacuzzi was amazing, especially because we enjoyed it the whole day due to the nice weather. I definitely recommend this property and make sure you book the ones with the jacuzzi so you can get the full experience. 10/10!...
