Booked through booking.com and asked for early check-in, late check-out which was confirmed.||The hotel appears to be on the first floor of an apartment block with dirty hallway and 3 flights of stairs to entrance of hotel - no lift...! They did run down to help carry the suitcases up, thank goodness. Staff were very helpful. The hotel itself is spotless :)||||The room was a corner one with twin beds and a daybed, plus en suite. Lovely and warm. Strange case of light fitting and smoke alarm fitting rising and falling at times!! We were asked to pay on arrival, which shocked me - never been asked to pay in advance for 2 weeks stay! They wanted cash- said card machine was broken, but it appeared when I said I didn't have the cash only a card to pay with...||||Roadworks outside went on through the night - take earplugs! Walls are incredibly thin but location is great, a mile walk to Red Square and close to the metro station. A good price for the location, room and...
Read moreThe location was amazing. So many great cafes and restaurant around the hotel. The park in front of the hotel was also very nice with Clean Ponds that looked extra beautiful during sunset. It's also walkable to Red Square and the GUM department store. The receptionists spoke basic English and did very well to help us and also provided us with a lot of extra towels and tissue paper when we asked. The free hot and cold water was also a great plus! The room was clean and there was some storage for our clothes and items. For the bathroom, the water has a good pressure but we wished it could run hot longer than it did. The bed sheets and pillows were comfy and clean, we all had a good and deep sleep. Overall, it was really worth the money mainly because of the location and pretty rooms as well as the assistance from the workers...
Read moreThe room was very comfortable, the location of the property is very good. Although it was very cold outside, the room was very warm. The staff was very kind (I spoke to them in Russian, so I couldn't assess their knowledge of English). They had several free rooms, so they offered me to chose the one I liked most. Breakfast is organized in a coffee shop "Coffee bean" right next door, but demands that you dress to go out. It is quite basic and allows you to chose between an oatmeal and sirniki and you get a coffee/tea to go with it. Nevertheless it is a nice way to start your day before going for a walk around Moscow. Metro is quite nearby, some 10 minutes walk, but Uber and Gett are quite cheap, as an alternative. All in all, this is a great place to stay in Moscow and I will...
