For a loyal long year ambassador elite member staying 200 nights per year in Moscow it is sad to see that the overall quality of this hotel is decreasing slowly but steady over the time. Staff is super nice, equipment & amenities are very good, the fitness center is great. But unfortunately the policy of the management seems obviously be aiming to reducing costs, quality and accepting overusage by the new low price guests they seem to attract with lower package pricing for overnights. Rooms are showing more and more wear without being updated, suites for high elite members are in better condition but still it shows there. The mattresses are worn out and uneven which make nights uncomfortable. Also they are not cleaned very good anymore if you keep your room as the regular daily cleaning. It once took 5 cleaning days waiting to get the empty toilet paper and napkins being exchanged. One of my fellow elite member colleagues got bed fleas from sleeping in one of the beds once. Needless to say he never comes here back again, like most of all I used to know staying here in this hotel regularly. One of the worst disappointments of all for me is the declining quality of the executive lounge. The staff is super friendly, but the cost saving versus food selection (nobody likes the fish day, so people avoid it, eating outside somewhere else... So why not making 2 fish days per week to save money preparing less quantities, let's just put another low quality food like pizza and noodles another day and repeat it every week to get people not to come... Actually quite smart money saving idea), money saving versus food quality (1 month ago me and my colleague got a food poison from their tiny Caesar salads, 3 days with medication vomiting all the time, thank you!), money saving versus basic stuff like replacing beverages from taking out in bottles or cans to soda dispenser machines... Really? I am very sorry, but this really feels super cheap and shows the quality decrease to save at regular beverages for high Marriott elite members. I am not at McDonald's. Overall I must say that already 75% of my colleagues with high elite status staying 100 to 200 nights in Moscow every year have left this hotel and I am not far away from leaving here too for good. The only thing holding me back are the nice staff, great gym and that I always get a room upgrade in this hotel. But that's really it. Soon I will also leave, the obvious cost saving & quality decrease...
Read moreThis is a very nice Renaissance Hotel located very close to the Green Metro line and Aero Express line to SVO Airport. It is a short walk to metro to go Downtown or see the local sights. The staff is very polite and friendly and many employees speak English to assist you with your stay. If you have the chance sign up for the Executive lounge access with your stay. This lounge is located on the 16th and 17th Floors and has beautiful views of the city. The Executive Lounge serves both complimentary dinner and breakfast, coffee, drinks and snacks throughout the day and wine or beer in the evening. It is well worth the price even if you only enjoy the breakfast which is served 6 am until about 9:30. There is an ATM machine in the lobby for cash withdrawals in local currency. And if that machine does not accommodate your card there is a bank next door with an ATM machine as well in English. I stayed 10 days here and loved every...
Read moreWe generally place our visiting consultants in this hotel and always hear good things about their stay. I decided to spend a night during a recent holiday - a staycation with a twist. I found the hotel to be a great place to stay. Very friendly staff greeted me and took care of all requests throughout. The executive lounge offered nice food options. It was spacious. Seemed a bit like a Courtyard Marriott in terms of the actual space and decoration, but nice overall. This is not in the heart of the city but very close and from the room there was a lovely view of various buildings in Moscow that are quite nice to see. The metro is very close. A great fitness center with a beautiful pool and jacuzzi. I had a good massage from Marina. All was quite enjoyable overall. I'd recommend this property...
