Accessibility is good - close to two metro stations. However, nothing is walking distance from the hotel.|The rooms, though clean, are very tiny and there are no elevators. Be prepared to lug up your suitcases over a couple of floors.|The wifi doesn't work on every floor.|What was really odd was the fact that the receptionist insisted on taking photocopies of our entire passport - including of older, non Russian visas and blank pages! When we protested, she insisted that it was required by the police and the authorities (whatever that means) and when we became adamant, very reluctantly she connected us with the owner who decided to "do us a special favour" by only taking copies of our details and Russian visa as per regular norms. Read moreThis is a very nice little hotel, opened just a couple of weeks ago, in the center of old Moscow - one of the famous districts called Zamoskvorechie (behind the river). The rooms are not big but cosy. They have all the necessary comforts - their own bathroom with a lot of toiletries, slippers, bottled water and glasses. Everything is fresh and smells of timber - as the door and furniture are made of timber.
