The Bad part: 1.) The rates are expensive. If you book ahead, a small room with meal for over 2 nights stay may cost less than 900 SAR. And if you book around the same week of your journey, this would increase exponentially.
2.) The meals are not that bad but certainly not the best either. Their breakfast meals contain mostly of eggs (scrambled or more scrambled since they seem to be oblivious to the term "sunny side up"), that cheap Sausage with tomato and onion relish, and a variety of croissant plus other breads. They offer an array of beverages though. But aside from that, there isn't much choice from breakfast. The room service isn't bad but beware of some of the people who answer the phone because one particular Egyptian guy from the kitchen was very rude in answering phone calls. Not only that he seemingly can't understand our order (which was just 4 scrambled eggs in two batches), but was always raising his voice as if we can't understand him. I hope they would NOT let him answer the phone nor anywhere near food is involved as I am afraid of what that person is capable of doing. Regardless, the lunch and dinner options are forgivable since they do serve a descent lamb and rice options. Plus points to East and southeast Asians such as myself.
3.) Late Check ins are allowed but the process won't be that quick since they seemingly hired an inexperienced concierge to man the reception late at night. The process took longer than expected and he seemingly disliked entertaining non Arab customers. Odd, since most of their customers come from southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia. Such employee should be further trained to hone his skills and interpersonal communication skills.
3.) Don't expect much from the bell Boys. Couple of years ago, their service was excellent, perhaps because the staff was far more experienced and could seemingly help you in all your needs. But this year, they're not that consistent anymore. They may or may not help you with your luggage, that's variable to their mood.
3.) The room cleaning is not thorough. When we checked in to our room, there were pistachio shells cluttered on the carpet on the concealed areas of the bed area. And we had to call the housekeeping services to have it cleaned. Luckily the housekeepers were quick and polite in addressing the issue.
The Good part: 1.) Location. Although not exactly the beachfront in comparison to its neighbours like the Oberoi Hotel, it is relatively very near to the Masjid Al Nabawi's gate 25 or the female entrance area. If you're travelling with your wife or mother or a female relative, do consider this hotel. If you're travelling by car, and using a GPS device for navigation, do not rely on your device, since rerouting of traffic is constant in that area and database for traffic flow changes at any time.
2.) Parking space is underground and relatively free from hassle. However, just like the bell Boys, it may or it may not be available depending on the day of the week and inflow of customers. It's almost always full during Friday's so better look for other options if you reach the hotel on that day.
3.) Rates are relatively cheaper despite being already hefty. That's if you compare its with its neighbours like the Oberoi.
4.) lots of shops nearby. Food spots are...
Read moreHonest Review: First impressions were wow! Very clean inside reception and very modern looking. Definitely looks like a 5* hotel compared to a 4* Check in was a breeze. Came with my wife and child and was very easy to go to masjid nabawi which was one street away. Estimate 1-2 minute walk go actual gate. For women it was very good as was near the women side. This was essential as we had a 11 month old. Very happy with location. Slightly abit longer for men if they want to pray inside. Had no trouble with getting down or up the elevators. Probably waited a minute max if it was currently in use.
Room was very modern looking, beds were nice and tidy and tbh we never use the cleaning services when at hotels. Always put DND on to avoid people coming into rooms. This time i had used the services as there was always someone on the floor to help you. I had one issue with the shower handle falling off. I let the staff know and a handyman came within a couple of minutes. The one real issue i had at this hotel was the safe inside the room i always check if they are working before actually putting anything inside. This time i checked it and it had locked and was unable to get it unlocked. Rang reception twice about this issue and still no one has come which is disappointing.
Bathroom was generally okay not the best or modern but did the job. Shower was large but did not have a handheld shower head only a rainfall shower head and a tap. They had a separate sitting bidet and a handheld shower bidet. Bath towels were slightly on the smaller side compared to my makkah hotel but did the job. They gave lots of amenities. Including dental kit, shaving kit, soap shower gel, shampoo etc.
Free water was included with our stay. Anytime you was thirsty they were more than happy to give you how ever much u wanted. We used the tea service once. It didn't come with coffee pods but we had told reception and they had sent some. Came with green tea etc.
COLD!!! If i had one thing to complain about it would be that the room we was in was cold. We didn't even use the AC during the time we stayed as room was generally at 20° constantly. No heat option availably. Our other room was much warmer it may have just been the room we stayed in.
View: construction site of the mosque expansion. May be a better view once the construction has finished.
I would definitely stay again :)
Didn't get breakfast from here as much cheaper to eat out. You have Karak express and kudu about 30 seconds to 1 minute away. They also have a gissah in the lobby. There was also men and women only gyms available. Never used them but decently equipped if there's only 5...
Read moreConvenient and Comfortable Stay Near the Holy Mosque I had the pleasure of staying at Dar Al Eiman Al Haram Hotel during my recent visit to Medina, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is ideally located just a short walk away from the Prophet's Mosque, making it incredibly convenient for performing prayers and other religious duties. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a family suite, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The suite was modern, spacious, and beautifully furnished, offering plenty of room for relaxation after a day of exploring. The amenities were top-notch, and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The staff were always friendly, respectful, and eager to assist with any requests. Special shout-out to the front desk team for being especially helpful with directions and local recommendations. However, the bathroom in the suite was extremely small and did not meet the same standard as the rest of the room. Both shower taps were faulty, making it difficult to control the water temperature, and the shower drainage was terrible, resulting in water pooling on the floor. It was a bit frustrating and felt outdated compared to the modern design of the suite itself. As for the breakfast, it was disappointing that the same options were served every day without any change. While the food was decent, I was expecting more variety to keep things interesting, especially for guests staying multiple days. Another downside was the lack of a coffee machine in the breakfast area, which would have been a nice touch for coffee lovers like myself. Additionally, the urn at breakfast was often turned off, leaving the water cold for tea. I also noticed that there was mostly canned fruit instead of fresh fruit, which was a bit off-putting. One of the standout features for me was the peaceful atmosphere—despite being so close to the busy area around the mosque, the hotel felt like a serene retreat after a long day of prayers and exploration. Overall, I highly recommend Dar Al Eiman Al Haram Hotel for anyone visiting Medina. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and value, but the bathroom could definitely use some improvements, and the breakfast variety and quality could be enhanced to improve the...
