We had a booking here for 4 days
They took around 45 mins to find out that our booking can not be billed back to the company. After all the waiting we were given a room. They told us that they would be contacting the company and would let us know if the issue remained unresolved. The next day we had to checkout and check in again. It was around 8:30 am and till that time they did not get the issue solved. We made them talk to the travel agent company so that they could solve whatever issue they were facing. By this time around 30mins had passed and a lady from their team was in conversation with the travel agency company on a call and she started yelling. She yelled that I'm only I'm only letting him go back because he is with his family. Even if there was an issue there was absolutely no reason to start yelling in front of the customers. My husband had to go to his office so we couldn’t change the hotel at that time, he got late just because of their unprofessional behaviour that day. At around 12 they disconnected my wifi because they still had some issue with the booking.
In the evening when everything was sorted they sent a cake, and asked us to rate the, as soon as we receive an email. We had the worst experience here, If we were here on vacation, this rude and unprofessional behaviour would have ruined it. I would not recommend anyone to book a stay here. The second day they switched off the electricity of the room around 3 times because of which I woke up from my nap. After 5 mins it came back but it kind of disturbed us.
The room we were given was not properly cleaned. On the sides it had trash from probably the last resident here.
They are trying to use everything that can be recycled. So that's the only good thing I can appreciate about this place. They have a water dispenser in the room so that we can avoid using plastic bottle.
They have a loyalty program which would enable us to get points on our stay. But using the same points we can't book a room in the same hotel. So this was just not helpful.
The experience would have been better if they had greeted us in...
Read more@opaline.ksa, a true Lebanese and fine dining experience. Located in the gorgeous @ascottrafalolayariyadh. @opaline.ksa has some great and delicious Lebanese food with superb ambience. 😍 The place is top notch and stunning! The service is great and the food was mouthwatering. We tried: •Hummus trio - consists of classic, tomato and pesto hummus. Loved all three but tomato was the star for me - 48 SAR. •Fattoush, Le salad du chef, Kale salad - Healthy and fresh and all tasted really good. 38 SAR, 44 SAR, 38 SAR. •Spicy Potato - all time favourite and loved it - 38 SAR. •Hummus with beef tenderloin - loved it! Small chunks of beef tenderloin in hummus, gave a great flavour but a bit pricey - 88 SAR. •Cheese rolls - Crispy, hot and full of cheese - 38 SAR. •Mutton Kebbeh - we ordered the chicken one but the chef recommended to try the mutton and we weren’t disappointed at all! - 44 SAR. •Wild mushroom cream soup - too creamy and full of flavour. My favourite 😍 - 33 SAR. •Grilled Lamb chops - cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I’m a lamb chop lover and I was very happy with it. 😍 - 188 SAR *Mixed Grill - a mix of chicken, beef and lamb kebabs. All of them were juicy and tender and tasted delicious. - 188 SAR. For drinks we tried their strawberry mojito, lavender lemonade, green Bali and Saudi champagne. Loved the strawberry mojito, green Bali was more on a minty side and lavender lemonade was too pretty for words. 😍 And a mix platter of desserts, full of chocolate cake, dark chocolate mousse, cheesecake, coconut cake. I loved the dark chocolate mousse. It was the star of the dessert platter. 💫 The prices are on the higher side but you definitely pay for the stunning ambience and succulent food! Read moreTo be honest i wasn’t expecting to be writing this kind of review because i thought we would be having a great time here since it’s well known internationally. Let me start from the first day, we were 5, we booked a room and a two bedroom suite. We arrived at 2 pm and we only got the room and we waited for the suite until after 4:30 pm, we couldn’t settle in, refresh ourselves and pack our things since we had reservations at 6. They did not compensate for the fact we waited a lot.
The room was spacious and nice, but i couldn’t sleep since the curtains did not block the light it was so bright and noisy. The AC buttons are so bright we can’t turn of the light too. Also the bed is not really comfortable.
One of the bathrooms (the guest bathroom near the living area the water from the faucet had such a weird taste (iron) i almost gagged while brushing my teeth so we did not use this bathroom anymore we used the other two they were great and clean.
Also, we needed more tissues, i called but half an hour later no one brought the tissues so i had to call again. (So slow)
Today, we wanted to order in some breakfast, the receptionist was so rude, i told her that we wanted to order some breakfast she said that the breakfast doesn’t come to your room come down to the restaurant, (we always order breakfast and pay in the room in other hotels so that was so odd) she was annoyed! And did not seem apologetic she seems so upset that i called. (The service feels so forced that it felt like they are doing us a favor for letting us stay in this hotel, we paid for a 4 star hotel not 2)
Also, ordering food from delivery applications is not convenient since you need to pick up the food yourself and not from the lobby, you need to go out and pick it up, i understand this can be a policy, but at least you should provide in room breakfast.
Overall, i won’t come again and i will not recommend it to others. The only good thing is...
