Hi there, I have used this hotel For over 7 days and will stay a total of 14. The booking was managed via my HR Department.
It is to be noted that I am an existing Bon Voy application holder and would highly recommend that if you are travelling for business you book through the app. This would also recommended for personal users, of course, what better to collect your points?
So
Check in was slick, with highly accommodating staff, be prepared for staff who are multi lingual. If you are using the courtesy pick up from the airport if will cost, circa 200 SAR. There is no doubt it’s a good service however an Uber is so much cheaper.
The quality of the rooms is as expected through this International Group. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. For potential UK customers please be advised that 3 Pin Plugs are used.
Room amenities are excellent and include a high quality Ironing Board and Steam Iron. All the little fancies are there from sewing kits through to toothbrushes and razors.
There is a small fridge in the room and complimentary tea and coffee. I would have preferred more than a 2 cup option for powdered milk but it is what it is. If you want real milk a Supermarket is literally within a 5 minute walk. Daily supply of water bottles is very generous and we should all remember to hydrate!!!
So far, I have only eaten 2 Room Service meals and a Breakfast every morning. The Breakfast caters for all tastes and the quality is high. I must recommend the Club Sandwich from Room Service as it is a Beast which may require a further planned attack to finish it off.
The Laundry Service, although priced highly, is highly proficient, with items returned the same day. This is based on a morning pick up and it will be ready at your room by the evening.
With regard to travelling, you have to account for the local traffic and be prepared for lengthy car or taxi journeys.
With regard to staff, I can only say how professional they are. I have a special mention to Mohammed, the Reception Manager, who is the exact guy you need to speak too……………for any issues.
I only have a couple of very small negative comments, in fact they are more of an observation……..
The internet has been unreachable or has intermittently disconnected over the last 3 nights, it has been a little frustrating but it’s not the end of the world. I am assuming that the occupancy is at max and everybody is on Netflix, YouTube etc.
The final observation is my Bon Voy points, there seem to be an issue with collected them, which I hope will be rectified before I leave.
So
An overall Summary
Nice Hotel Good Staff Good Food Really Comfortable Beds
Would I stay here again? Yes, if I could...
Read moreI recently checked in this hotel and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in many ways.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel instantly welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, ensuring that I could settle into my room without any delays. The hotel's contemporary design and vibrant atmosphere added a touch of excitement to my stay.
The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed. The comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep after long days of meetings. The modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV, high-speed internet access, and a well-equipped work desk were perfect for both business and leisure purposes.
One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional level of service provided by the hotel staff. They were always attentive to my needs and went above and beyond to ensure that every request was promptly addressed. Whether it was arranging transportation or providing recommendations for local attractions, their professionalism and willingness to assist were commendable.
The dining options at Aloft Hotel Riyadh were also impressive. The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu with delicious international cuisine. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection of both local and international dishes, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences.
Additionally, the hotel's location in Riyadh proved to be convenient for both business travelers like myself as well as those looking to explore the city. It is situated in close proximity to major commercial areas, shopping centers, and cultural attractions.
While my experience at Aloft Hotel Riyadh was overwhelmingly positive, there were a few minor areas where improvements could be made. Firstly, the doorknob on the comfort room is too small to grasp. I actually locked inside for quite sometime because I couldn’t open the door. I suggest to change the existing doorknob for the convenience of your visitors. Secondly, the internet on the room where I stayed in is so slow.
In conclusion, my stay at Aloft Hotel Riyadh was nothing short of excellent. From its stylish decor to its attentive staff members who consistently went above and beyond expectations - this hotel truly stands out among its competitors in terms of service quality and guest satisfaction. I would highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and an enjoyable experience during their...
Read moreI thought I was writing about ALOFT Riyadh in the previous page... anyways I'll try to remember all the points I mentioned to mention them again here.
Room for improvement:-
The shower sprayer has got only 1 mode, and it is weak. So it takes lots of time to wash off the soap and shampoo.
The water temperature is either hot & warm, or weak and cold. The control over the water temperature is not the greatest.
The gym opening times makes it confusing for men & women times. it makes it harder to stay consistent with working out.
Parking spaces are a tight, although not sure how it can be fixed now that it's done.. but yeah.
Great things I noticed about the hotel:-
Great hygiene, clean and neat.
The people, the staff, are what makes Aloft amazing.
I'd like to shoutout Bahaa, he's a guy I meet every morning during breakfast, he makes sure everything is going well, super nice to everybody and puts a smile on your face regardless of the mood.
Ameer, the cook & chef in the morning. Knows my usual order without me having to tell him anything. Whenever he sees me coming in, he starts the usual. The food comes to my table right away.
The staff at the reception are energetic, it's fun to see Saudi youth. We even have a nice relationship between us. They are always welcoming whenever I come back from a weekend to check in again.
There is a philippino guy I forgot his name, he comes to pick the laundry on the 6th floor, super nice person as well.
Last but not least, the staff who help with the luggage, there are 2 people I'd like to shoutout but I don't really remember their names so I'll just describe them. One is a young fellow, he's in a healthy shape super energetic and likes to talk. The other guy is the eldest of them I think, he's a bit shorter and has a bit of weight on him, very sweet as well.
Over all, what makes the hotel a great experience is really the people working in it to give a sense of belonging, I really do feel missed when I go for a weekend and come back... They're like.. where have you been! we haven't been seeing you on breakfast the past few days :D
Love the staff, and I wish them all the best of luck.
Yours sincerely, Haitham...
