Read moreOne of my favourite Kerala Restaurant The Canteen, an Indian restaurant located in Riyadh. I must say, I was blown away by the incredible dining experience I had there.
Firstly, the ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting. The interior is beautifully designed, with vibrant colors and style of traditional Indian train coaches. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of guests.
Now let's talk about the food. The menu at The Canteen offers a wide variety of authentic Indian especially kerala dishes, and each one is a true delight. From the moment I took my first bite, I could taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the spices used were just right – not too overpowering, but enough to give each dish a distinct taste.
I particularly enjoyed the Beef Variyellu, which was fragrant and packed with flavors. The tender Beef pieces stick on Beef rib were cooked to perfection. Every dish I tried was a culinary delight, leaving me wanting to try more.
The service at The Canteen was excellent. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions I had. The food was served promptly, and the waitstaff made sure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
I also appreciated the reasonable prices at The Canteen. Considering the high quality of the food and the overall dining experience, I found the prices to be very reasonable and well worth the value.

Read moreWe went to this restaurant today for lunch.First i would like to give rating about their biriyani, good taste and worth to try their biriyani if you want to explore this restaurant. But we are very disappointed with their attitude to wards to us. We reached there at 2pm and they ask us to wait till table is available. We got the sitting place by 2.30 pm and we ordered Mutton biriyani, mallu 65, butter chicken and porotta if available or chicken fried rice, Nadan mojitto and mango juice. Supplier said he is not sure Mojitto and juice can serve, he told to us he will check and back to us. Later he said Mojitto and mango juice were not serving at the moment. He confirmed porotta is ready and will include in order. After 20 minutes i.e around 2.50 pm he came back to us and he said mutton biriyani is not available only chicken biriyani is there. Since our kids are too hungry we thought it will delay our lunch again if we will leave this restaurant on that time. Then we agreed with chicken biriyani and he said he can serve our order soon. After waiting another 15 minutes finally our order reached to our table. We totally disappointed after seeing our food, they served chicken biriyani, Egg fried rice and Mallu 65 though our main course order was Biriyani and either porotta or chicken fried rice. We felt pathetic discrimination too,we noticed they served the juices other tables near to us, they given the order after our order. Since our kids were too hungry and time was 3.05 pm we go with what they served. Not sure what logic they used to Judge the customers. Anyways for us this is the first time we had this kind of pathetic attitude in our life. Totally disappointed and never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Since there is no option to give 0 Star in google reviews, the score we given to this restaurant is 1 though we liked...
