A stunning architectural hotel in the Romanesque style with corinthian columns and superb pediments and finials laid out on a grand scale with formal gardens and landscaping. The interior is magnificent and it’s hard to describe in words, from the mosaic floors to the embellished and painted ceilings redolent of the Italian renaissance and Michel Angelo. The furniture is in ornate ormolu, in the Empire style with English Sheraton furniture complimented by Arabesque items. The indoor pool is stunning as is the lobby with magnificent chandeliers and frescoed ceilings. The flower arrangement with exotic roses is unparalleled. There are several restaurants and lounges all of the highest quality. Originally this magnificent edifice was built as a playhouse for a wealthy Saudi prince and never designed as a hotel so it has an intimacy about it regardless of its vast size. It apparently was requisitioned and adapted into the magnificent hotel it is today. However as a well travelled world Westerner who has been privileged to stay in the worlds finest hotels I have a well founded criticism of this hotel. I decided to enjoy brunch last Friday and the food selection was superb but the service was abysmal. My chair was not proffered for me to sit down and my napkin was not placed on my lap. My coffee was served without the cold milk I requested and inspite of numerous requests it was not forthcoming. When it did eventually arrive the coffee was cold. Every time I went to the buffet to get additional items to eat my knife and fork had been removed and not replaced in the end I had to continually take flatware from the adjacent tables! Why isn’t there the maitre de hotel keeping an eye out for his guests! I felt the staff were out of their depth. When I placed my reservation I was told about a strict dress code that many people were not observing why is this? With respect there where diners eating rice with their bare hands,is this de rigour in such a beautiful sophisticated environment? One possible reason we didn’t get the service we deserved may have been because there was a group of internet bloggers and influencers who seemed to get plenty of attention. Overall the hotel was stunning but the issues I have raised need to be addressed if this hotel is to match its contemporaries in Dubai and elsewhere

A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh ♥️ From the moment I arrived, the service was nothing short of extraordinary. This hotel embodies world-class hospitality, and the team here goes above and beyond to make every guest feel valued. A special mention to Imran Sheikh, who handled the golf cart service between the hotel and Via Riyadh. Always courteous and hospitable, he made each ride seamless and enjoyable, ensuring a smooth transition with warmth and professionalism. At the lobby restaurant, I had the pleasure of experiencing the impeccable service of Lamia, Lemia, Dan Mark, Omar Farooq, and Pintu. Each one of them delivered top-notch hospitality, blending attentiveness with genuine warmth. Lamia was an absolute gem—when I forgot my room number, she remembered it instantly. Her ability to anticipate guests’ needs and create a personalized experience was truly exceptional. The entire team upheld the highest standards of service, making every interaction a pleasure. The front desk experience was equally outstanding. Abdur Rehman and Ahmed Bahumi set the gold standard for hospitality. From a warm welcome to an unexpected upgrade for a special occasion, their thoughtfulness made my stay even more memorable. They consistently checked in to ensure everything was perfect, reinforcing why The Ritz-Carlton is synonymous with luxury and care. A heartfelt congratulations to Mazen Allam, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, for running this incredible property like a perfectly orchestrated symphony. The seamless execution of luxury, service, and hospitality is a testament to his leadership and the exceptional team he has cultivated. This hotel is stunning, but what truly sets it apart is its people. Their dedication to excellence and genuine hospitality make The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, more than just a luxury destination—it’s an experience worth returning for. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to be back!

This place is absolutely phenomenal nothing quite like it. The only time you will probably ever feel like royalty. From the marble floors to super high ceilings with exquisite chandeliers. One by the pool is blowing glass. Gold guild drips off of every thing, the mosaics and architecture is fabulous. From the outside it is secured with a vast perimeter wall that goes on for miles, the drive town towards the hotel is a beautiful view of where your about to stay. Security is tight but polite from the gate to the entrance of the hotel. Two reception desks and many staff visibly seen to assist you with any of your needs. It sports three restaurants, one buffet, one Chinese with a phenomenal Tea Master (must try the Wasabi prawns) and an Italian restaurant. The Chinese restaurant over looks the most beautiful indoor swimming pool, which the Italian restaurant is next to. Floors are only accessible by key card for extra security. There is a 24 hour gym down stairs fully kitted out with weight machine, free weights, rowing machines, treadmills and cross trainers. Across the way from that is the Spa with its steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and massage therapist. To top it off it sports a Rolex shop, sweet shop and perfumery. The rooms are huge sporting a desk and chair, double or twin beds, arm chair and footstool, dressing table, mini bar and TV with cable(many English channels) and Bose stereo system. Bathroom has bath/shower massive sink area, toilet and beaday. You can plug and play you PS4 into TV no worries like some other hotels. There is a couple of internal courtyards you can relax and smoke or eat in. This place is an absolute dream. I love it here. Thank you for making me feel royal Ritz Carlton.🙏🏿

Spent a weekend chilaxing in The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh located opposite diplomatic quarters. ||The property is huge and it's palace like architecture suites the royal welcome we got 😍.||Food|Their breakfast and dinner Buffet's are delightful and diverse that caters to guests all over the world. Main restaurant is Al Orjouan restaurant where the action happens and the staff are skilled and amazing. Special thanks to Mohd. Amir and Desiree who were friendly, professional and helpful.||The Honey cake from Cheff Nuwan from Chorisia restaurant should come with a warning—totally addictive!.That cake looks like a masterpiece and tastes even better. You're an artist in the kitchen! Should also recognize chef Thanaya who was equally better and make the presentation plus the taste of the food exceptional.||They also have 2 signature drinks, Black Magic, which was magical and thanks to Ashraf for introducing this to us. The other signature drink Hibiscus Rose and thank you Laveena for making us this wonderful masterpiece. Special thanks to Pintu Kumar who provided more insights of the hotel, history of the 400 year Chorisia tree and the 600 year old Olive tree. He was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. ||Overall the lounge was a relaxing place anyone staying in the hotel despite the hot summer. Should thank again to all the staff memebers, Chef Nuwan, Chef Thanaya, Pintu, Lave & Ashraf for welcoming us and making feel valuable.||Staff|Nice bunch of lovely and lively staff maintaining Ritz's 5-star standards. Starting from Imran from Butler service to Georgie from Strike Entertainment and Chef Nuwan from F&B..., every one was smiling, helpful, professional, courteous and hospitable. They made us feel at home where even family won't treat us this better...!!! We also should recognize and applaud the management for having a well trained team that ensures guest satisfaction to the maximum. Everyone creates an ambience of home in the midst of luxury.||Rooms|We were in the King Bed with the Fountain view which provides a spectacular SunSet along with the Fountain. At night the whole area is lit up with classic night lamps which is an amazing scene to stare at 🥰. |Rooms are equipped with all the amenities and supplied with unlimited tea, coffee and water.||However, compared to Marriott standards the in room entertainment is disappointed. TV is not a smart TV. Its doesn't have Netflix, Prime or YouTube, not even Chromecast. Even some of the channels they have are not working, ex: OSN Comedy and OSN Hollywood were not fixed despite complaing couple of times.||They have well maintaied trimmed green gardens with a wide species of birds visiting to grace making the gardens a beautiful site to view in a country like Saudi. As a suggestion hanging a couple of bird feeders will encourage more visits adding more beauty to the garden.||Overall had an amazing experience and no doubt that Ritz Carlton is one of the Forbes Five Star hotels. Special thanks to Georgie from Strike, who provide a different level of entertainment in the bowling alley. We would definitely book a monthly visit via WDDK app to visit the place. I am very disappointed with Ritz Carlton Riyadh customer service, it seemed that they do not want customers. And their services doesn't seem like a reputable 5 star hotel. It's appaling. ||||I tried to book the Garden Picnic. The first person I contacted have zero information and rather made me wait while she forwarded my queries to the "team". Even basic queries she couldn't answer immediately. ||||Overall it was a mess. I was communicating with another staff strategically and professionally via email back and forth updating the number of confirmed participants. There were FOUR Ritz carlton staff tagged to this email. ||||I even inform them of the exact date and exact time that I will pay which will be 24 hours before event day to finalise the payment since more people may attend and make payment. ||||They also claimed that they gave a payment link, however, it was not provided on the email. They claimed that they have given me the payment link, but they couldn't even show me the email thread with the payment link. Shocking. ||||Unfortunately, on this particular day, I had such a very tight schedule including going to the hospital back forth and I had overlooked the time of payment, however, no one from Ritz Carlton Riyadh had the courtesy to call/remind me on that day of payment, as if they are not interested in having customers. ||||I was told that they only communicate only via email. I'm speechless. Are they robots? Don't they have customer service skills to kindly give a courtesy call to potential customer on a Saturday, to remind of the payment deadline just in case the customer does not check their email and overlooked the time?? ||||I am in Riyadh, not United States. There were 4 staff tagged on that email. What were they doing? Sleeping? Not working? ||||I only remember while I was at the hospital hours later at 6pm. And I called the Ritz ||Carlton mainline and I was told that the staff do not work at this time. I'm speechless. ||||Unlike the Ritz Carlton Singapore and Portugal (Penha Longa Resort), I would not recommend Ritz Carlton, Riyadh. ||||The lack of professionalism and customer service skills is not worth to have a professional event there. If it's a family and friends event maybe not a big deal, but not an event where you invite potential clients. ||||You cannot trust or depend on Ritz Carlton customer service skills, horrendous. Completely lacking. Referring to the staff at Ritz Carlton Riyadh which I had communicated with. More than 4 of them including those tagged in the email. ||||Moving forward we will not have any event at Ritz Carlton Riyadh, as we do not trust their customer service management. Extremely...
