Spent a weekend chilaxing in The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh located opposite diplomatic quarters. ||The property is huge and it's palace like architecture suites the royal welcome we got 😍.||Food|Their breakfast and dinner Buffet's are delightful and diverse that caters to guests all over the world. Main restaurant is Al Orjouan restaurant where the action happens and the staff are skilled and amazing. Special thanks to Mohd. Amir and Desiree who were friendly, professional and helpful.||The Honey cake from Cheff Nuwan from Chorisia restaurant should come with a warning—totally addictive!.That cake looks like a masterpiece and tastes even better. You're an artist in the kitchen! Should also recognize chef Thanaya who was equally better and make the presentation plus the taste of the food exceptional.||They also have 2 signature drinks, Black Magic, which was magical and thanks to Ashraf for introducing this to us. The other signature drink Hibiscus Rose and thank you Laveena for making us this wonderful masterpiece. Special thanks to Pintu Kumar who provided more insights of the hotel, history of the 400 year Chorisia tree and the 600 year old Olive tree. He was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. ||Overall the lounge was a relaxing place anyone staying in the hotel despite the hot summer. Should thank again to all the staff memebers, Chef Nuwan, Chef Thanaya, Pintu, Lave & Ashraf for welcoming us and making feel valuable.||Staff|Nice bunch of lovely and lively staff maintaining Ritz's 5-star standards. Starting from Imran from Butler service to Georgie from Strike Entertainment and Chef Nuwan from F&B..., every one was smiling, helpful, professional, courteous and hospitable. We also should recognize and applaud the management for having a well trained team that ensures guest satisfaction to the maximum. Read moreI am very disappointed with Ritz Carlton Riyadh customer service, it seemed that they do not want customers. And their services doesn't seem like a reputable 5 star hotel. It's appaling. ||||I tried to book the Garden Picnic. The first person I contacted have zero information and rather made me wait while she forwarded my queries to the "team". Even basic queries she couldn't answer immediately. ||||Overall it was a mess. I was communicating with another staff strategically and professionally via email back and forth updating the number of confirmed participants. There were FOUR Ritz carlton staff tagged to this email. ||||I even inform them of the exact date and exact time that I will pay which will be 24 hours before event day to finalise the payment since more people may attend and make payment. ||||They also claimed that they gave a payment link, however, it was not provided on the email. They claimed that they have given me the payment link, but they couldn't even show me the email thread with the payment link. Shocking. ||||Unfortunately, on this particular day, I had such a very tight schedule including going to the hospital back forth and I had overlooked the time of payment, however, no one from Ritz Carlton Riyadh had the courtesy to call/remind me on that day of payment, as if they are not interested in having customers. ||||I was told that they only communicate only via email. I'm speechless. Are they robots? Don't they have customer service skills to kindly give a courtesy call to potential customer on a Saturday, to remind of the payment deadline just in case the customer does not check their email and overlooked the time?? ||||I am in Riyadh, not United States. There were 4 staff tagged on that email. What were they doing? Sleeping? Not working? ||||I only remember while I was at the hospital hours later at 6pm. And I called the Ritz ||Carlton mainline and I was told that the staff do not work at this time. I'm speechless. ||||Unlike the Ritz Carlton Singapore and Portugal (Penha Longa Resort), I would not recommend Ritz Carlton, Riyadh. ||||The lack of professionalism and customer service skills is not worth to have a professional event there. If it's a family and friends event maybe not a big deal, but not an event where you invite potential clients. ||||You cannot trust or depend on Ritz Carlton customer service skills, horrendous. Completely lacking. Referring to the staff at Ritz Carlton Riyadh which I had communicated with. More than 4 of them including those tagged in the email. ||||Moving forward we will not have any event at Ritz Carlton Riyadh, as we do not trust their customer service management. Extremely...
