Hello I was invited to ( Via Riyadh ) to enjoy the Outdoor cold atmosphere and we decided to eat in ( Madeo ) , I'll to try to be polite and subjective as much as i can while writing my feedback , Dear Kind owner ....that's my sincere experience :
-Introdection : We entered the restaurant and The young host welcomed us , we asked her a few questions about the Food quality and what Kind of service we can get in ( Madeo ) ...she replied " It's the best restaurant in Riyadh " ... although she was nice and patient but she lacked the proper informations due to her " young age and lack of enough practical experience " .... i Highly suggest you to keep her an experienced worker in the host section to help the younger generations with the skills of hosting and welcoming like ( Smiling and greeting ) specialy the host section is the most important for making a ( Good impression )
hospitality : We sat on our table .... i scanned the menu but suddenly My mobile internet coverage suddenly stopped working ...so i could'nt open the menu , the italian supevisor (or manager with blonde hair )attended to our table and greeted us , i informed him about my phone techinical issue and asked him to see an printed menu or if they have electrical device in order to see the menu ...and he replied " Sorry , we don't a printed menu because we're doing some changes in the menu and we did'nt have enough time to print it , also we don't have any device to show you the menu " .... he answered me with an unpleasent expressing way...not to mention that he never bothered to smile once during the whole dinner , anyway .... i waited for the others to pass me thier mobile in order to have an access to see ( The menu ) while the supervisor was busy holding his mobile and texting ..... at least he were supposed to give a proper introduction about the menu and best sellers....etc. Dear owner : i highly advise you to inform him not to intract with costumers unless he's willing to smile more and have a proper hosting and hospitality skills that suits his proper leading postion....
Food : We were greeted with a waitress her name was (Mary or Marka... the philipino wearing glasses) She was the only one smiling the whole dinner and made our dinner experience more happier , also she gave us a proper explanation about each dish . That's what we orderd :
Italian bean soup : Tastless , no enough seasoning ...more like a hospital food !
Spinach Salad : It was fine ...nothing special about it all and the portion was small for price.
Shanks Ravioil With sage oil : The filling was waaay to little and the taste was Alright... i could barley taste the beef filling , it's like a (Poor man Ravioil ) ... The price was too high for 7 pieces of ravioli .
Perppercorn steak : it was deliciouse but not a big Woooow , the sauce needed more complex exquisite flavor .... and they need to increase the portion of baked potato wedges and change the broccoli to Sauteed vegetables .
Beef bolognese : it was the star of the dinner ... delicouse , simple yet magical ...could feel a little bit taste of butter or animal fat like ghee or or duck fat ...still it's worth ordering .
Drinks : Peach Billini : it was a failure ... just sparkling soda + peach puree ( mermelade) .... and what made it worse is they only fill half of the glass.
italian Lemon drink ( i Forget the name ) : It was just a basic lemonade + Almond essence.... again the portion is too little for the expensive price . I highly recommend you to increase the drinks portion sepcialy it's mostly ( Syrups )
Verdict : (Madeo ) restaurant needs a huge changes and proper hospitality and delicious cooking skills ... we're not in Italy , We're in K.S.A (Middle east) .... we have higher food standards and demand high peak preformance both in ( Food + Hospitality ) and most of all ( Smiling).

What we ordered:
• Appetizers:
-The arugula salad was absolutely delicious. -The calamari was very good. -The eggplant rolls were decent.
• Pizza:
The Burrata pizza was flavorful and one of the highlights of the meal.
• Pasta:
We tried two types: one of their signature tomato-based pastas, which they mentioned is one of the best in Riyadh — and I’d agree it’s probably the best item on their menu.
The second was a spinach-filled pasta. Unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me at all. I’d rate it 1/10. The flavor reminded me of a traditional Saudi dish called mantoo, but the filling lacked depth and seasoning.
• Fish: We didn’t order salmon, but another type of fish that tasted similar to tuna. I personally didn’t enjoy it much.
• Saffron Risotto: This was a miss. The texture felt undercooked and lacked flavor. There are several places in Riyadh that serve much better risotto.
Now to the two major letdowns:
The ambiance: For a weekend night, the atmosphere was unexpectedly flat. There was either no background music or it was barely audible. It felt unusually quiet — to the point where you could clearly hear conversations from nearby tables. We actually felt sleepy and ended up leaving early. The birthday request: I had informed them ahead of time that we were celebrating a birthday for one of the guests. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged it, asked about it, or made any effort to make the moment special. The service was far below expectations, especially for a weekend dinner, and we ended up continuing the celebration at another place.

Read moreExtremely disappointed from the resturant , my husband called in advanced 4 days booked and paid for us a table and mentioned its a birthday celebration dinner for me .
Yesterday we arrived at the scheduled time and called them to ask where it’s located inside the via Riyadh , they said we cancelled your reservation because of a sudden Special event !!!! 🔴((( why would a client reserve in advance and pay in a fancy resturant if you have the right to cancel on US suddenly ???)))
They said we called but we didn’t receive a call , 🔴(( also when you cancel on someone you should call many times and make sure to let him know not only once ?!!!!!!! ))).
Then they said we sent you email but again this is not an excuse , you should call many times specially when your client says it’s a birthday event .
Then we said what to do we are already there inside via riyadh and we already paid , they said we will arrange for a different resturant . 🔴((How disappointing after preparing our selves to eat Italian to find changing in the food type )).
🔴🔴When i reserve in a fancy resturant i surly expect great general customer experience , no one offered us a Discount at least for this total unprofessional act and to please their customers .
Btw, The resturant in the below feedback from them suggested that i email them with the details. I did that and they never got back to me. How honest is this...
