Hotel La Medina — Hotel in Saly Portudal

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel La Medina. It is in a good location - a few blocks back from the beach and tourist strip of Saly, in a quiet local neighbourhood. The hotel itself is very spacious, with good-sized communal areas and a sizeable swimming pool. It is also more of a local option, as opposed to the numerous international holiday resorts and hotels which make up much of Saly. Rooms are arranged around a leafy courtyard, and are beautifully decorated with lovely en-suite bathrooms. It would be nice to have a greater choice of air-conditioned rooms, but this to me was the only downside of the place. BE CAREFUL! Dont book this hotel through any web page because they said they dont work with any page and they dont refund any money. About the hotel, is not fair for the price. Shower and WC broken, coakroaches and leak of water on the roof. The personal dont do anything, just say sorry... For this price there are much bettee places in Saly for sure. Not...

Nous sommes allées à la Médina grâce aux avis plutôt positifs que nous avions lu. ||Premièrement, ne réservez pas via Hotel.com, car en arrivant notre réservation n’avait pas été prise en compte et transmise par le site. ||Nous avons quand même pu avoir une chambre, qui possédait le strict minimum. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas, pas d’eau chaude ni de pression dans la douche durant toute la semaine, la porte d’entrée était fissurée… ||Petit déjeuner très simple avec du pain et de la confiture, mais il ne faut ps avoir des choses prévues assez tôt le matin: il n’est pas disponible avant 8h30||Pas d’eau minérale à volonté comme décrit sur Hotel.com ||Piscine agréable||La plus grosse surprise : le samedi, l’hôtel s’est transformé en lieu accueillant un défilé de mode, avec de la musique à fond, et nous n’avions pas été prévenues.
