When the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed for the season, we allowed a passer-by to lead us to another restaurant. The place was derelict and was literally a building site. He ordered for us and only produced the menu after the cook took the order We realised he had ordered two set meals which consisted of far more food than we ever eat.
It was good but too much and hugely overpriced - £60 with only one beer and one water to drink. The restaurant didn't have any change so she asked this guy, Karim, to get change for us. We skipped dessert as we couldn't eat any more and had booked a taxi to take us back to the hotel. However, we had to follow Karim through the backstreets to get the £10 change. Instead he then took us to a workshop where they were selling tat made from wood. Eventually our taxi driver spotted us and drove down the street to pick us up and managed to give Karim change so he could pay us.
Karim then asked me for money for being our guide! We were unable to get to the supermarket as planned, so it was a total waste of time and money and we will have to do it all again tomorrow but will also have to go...

But honestly that is secondary to the hospitality from Mama Sacha, who is the chef. She is so kind and welcomed us to her restaurant and took care of us in such a motherly fashion that I felt like a kid again ☺️
We went fishing with one of the locals and caught a fish and Mama cooked it for us to have along with our dinner.
