Fortress apartments — Hotel in City of Novi Sad

friendly hosts, spatious appartment (with 3 bedrooms for 3 guests), already is on a great location for exploring Novi Sad / fortress - and after the renovations of the Petrovaradin quarter below the fortress (probably related to acquiring the status of Youth Capital of Europe in 2021), it will be in a prime area. the appartments are in a renewed house, with inner yard with small garden - cute! breakfast in a nearby restaurant, guests are mainly locals and staff from nearby army hospital, staff friendly, portions substantial - unfortunatelly smoking is allowed in the restaurant, which is noticeable already early in the morning... parking is possible nearby on the street - but carefully - do not park on the pedestrian path by the river (supposedly 200€ for towing); wifi functions well; ||the renovation works in the surroundings made quite a challenge to drive close to the appartment with a car; temperature of the water from the shower varied dangerously; door of my room could not...

The owners are a family, who really makes sure that you have everything you need from the beginning until the end of your visit. The apartment is nicely decorated, good size and equipped with everything you may need. The city center is perhaps a 15 minutes walk via a beautiful bridge, feels very safe and romantic… the accommodation has a beautiful back garden where you can sit in the evening and enjoy glass of wine… breakfast is in nearby coffee shop/restaurant, Less than 3 minutes walk. You can order from small menu but the food is nice, tasty and portions are actually big. The only disadvantage of the place is that the owners only take cash payment, which can be inconvenient for some travelers as you need...

Stayed here for 5 nights and, if I come back to Novi Sad, I will definitely stay here again. The apartments are really well laid out and exceptionally clean.||||They are also well located for the city which is a short walk over the bridge across the Danube river and they are also just over the road from the old fortress, which gives fantastic views of the city and is also a great place for a meal or dink with cafe bars and restaurants at the top.||||The hosts that run the place were really nice people and we were made to feel very welcome.
