Petrovaradinska tvrđava građena je po planovima Kajzersferda i Marsilija sve ugledna imena vojne arhitekture austrijske carevine. Posebno je značajno podzemlje Tvrđave na četiri kata sa 16 kilometara hodnika i domorišta kao i veliki bunar, kao rezerva snabdjevanja vodom u slučaju duže opsade tvrđave.
