Garni Hotel AMI — Hotel in City of Novi Sad

Giving this hotel a one star is generous! This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! ||First day our shower leaked and turned the bathroom into a swamp. The "manager" arrived and asked another staff member to bring a mop and bucket. We explained that we are here for 5 days and will need a shower. When push came to shove she agreed to move us the next day. ||I took a siesta during the afternoon as my friends and I were going out for drinks. During my siesta I heard someone in the living room. After calling my friends name a few times and hearing no answer I went to investigate. Wow! There's a male staff member in my room! He let himself in and when I confronted him told me he was sent to check the mini bar?????? (The same mini bar he had already checked that morning) ||The only good thing on the breakfast buffet was the juice. The food would turn you off eating for a lifetime. ||In my option, the issue with this hotel is the management. Not once did we receive an apology for 1) a flooded bathroom, 2) the inconvenience of having to move room (which we more or less begged for) and 3) a male staff being in my room while I was sleeping. ||After check out they then had the audacity to charge us on our card for drinks "we consumed" at the mini bar. 2 drinks were charged down and not one drink was touched. ||Stay away! ||Tourist trap!...

Not only is this in a bustling busy street next to two bus stops that have cars revving their engines super loud every 5 mins or more, thus we hardly got any restful sleep during our stay, thus we found the hotel and service here to be subpar.

Shower had very low water pressure and there were stains all over the carpet. Just overall feels dirty here.

We had to keep going downstairs to reactivate our room cards since they stopped working, several times.. I’m not sure if they aren’t used to a longer stay but they didn’t share why this kept happening so this was definitely inconvenient..

We borrowed an iron and the next day some cleaning staff rudely woke us up at 7:30 AM on a Saturday, to ask for it back when they had other irons in the hotel…

Not the best hotel, it is in a nice central location but we did not feel comfortable here and stayed here for almost a week. I recommend instead if you were to look into finding a good Airbnb in the area. We had a miserable time trying...
