Diamond Plaza Hotel — Hotel in Praslin

The hotel is in a good location, on the side of the main street, close to supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy, Atm, beach, bus station, police station. The aspect of the hotel is not the best as the outside needs some fresh paiting, inside also. The employees are very friendly and polite and ready to help you with all your needs. We stayed for 6 days at this hotel and for the price that we paid we consider it’s a good choice. The rooms are big, including the bathroom, and the livingroom. We had almost all the electronics that we need and all of them were functional. They cleaned the rooms daily but didn’t changed the sheets, that’s a negative aspect. Some repairs should be done in the rooms but in rest the conditions are decent. The breakfast is good, fruits, coffee, natural juice, omlettes, bacon, enough for a good start in the morning. The hotel is situated on the Praslin island. We stayed there 1 night and it was ok that way.The area is quite loud, the beach seemed nice but not sure if you can bathe there. The hotel seems to be a former business centre, so the fitout is a bit strange and it lacks any warmth.The rooms spacious, again, bedroom in aquarium feels and looks weird.There is a tiny kitchen corner, but wasvunable to find any utilities. The best features of the hotel are the price and the waterfront balcony. The room is very spacious with kitchen/Livingroom and a bedroom in a fishtank enclosure (see my pictures to understand) a large bathroom. Downside is the stairs to the reception and room if you have heavy luggage or have limited mobility. Breakfast was fine with fresh fruit,choice of eggs preparation, toast and jam and crepe. Location is out of the tourist zone which is mainly in cote d or on the other side of the island but bus stops in front of the hotel, you have a bank, minimarts. What it is lacking there is restaurants because of covid all closed so if you have a car you are fine otherwise the only choices are to cook or get a pizza from the pizza takeaway...
