We stayed for six nights at Le Relax Hotel, Praslin, with our family, occupying two rooms on a half-board basis. The hotel enjoys an excellent beachfront location, with easy access to nearby shops, bus stops, and other dining options. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the rooms were kept clean throughout our stay.
The highlight of our experience was the friendly and dedicated staff. Special thanks to Munna, Vaishanv, and Chef Mohit, whose kindness and hard work made a real difference. Their efforts were much appreciated and brought warmth to our stay.
However, several issues affected the overall impression. The pool was in poor condition, with excessive chlorine and acidic water that caused skin irritation, leading our children to avoid it altogether. The toilet flushing system in our room required repair four times during our stay, and the sink drained very slowly.
Most disappointing, though, was the state of the fence facing the beach. Considering that the beach is the hotel’s greatest asset, it is unfortunate that the view is obstructed by a damaged, makeshift barrier that looks completely out of place in such a setting. Instead of highlighting the beauty of the ocean, it gives the property a run-down, neglected appearance and drastically diminishes the premium feel that the location should naturally provide.
The restaurant offered mainly Indian dishes, which may not suit all guests, and the broken pizza oven further limited the menu. On some evenings, there was no bartender available, reducing the drink selection. Additionally, beer could not be purchased during the day, for reasons that were never clearly explained.
At check-in, there was also a misunderstanding regarding our 8-year-old child, which initially led to a request for an extra charge – a disappointing start after a long journey, though it was quickly resolved.
In summary, Le Relax Hotel has genuine potential thanks to its location and kind staff, but it urgently needs better maintenance, more attention to presentation, and consistent service to live up to its name and setting. With proper care, the beachfront could be a true highlight – but in its current state, it sadly feels overlooked and...
Read moreCould have been much better. Staff there are very arrogant. Thankfully Fazia was a bit considerate. My flight got delayed and guess what they didn’t reply on WhatsApp at all. I tried calling Praslin, Mahe both branches. But those people were not at all responding. Infact I called during daytime thrice and messaged them. I even have screenshots. Later when i asked them when i was at that place, they were like they never received the call. When I showed the call history, they denied saying that’s not their number but AGODA has the number listed active. Finally someone called BRYAN answered the call and then they blamed saying it is MAHE. They are just there to loot people money and blame on them. I found Seychelles to be very heart warming people. But LE Relax people aren’t. They have a sense of taking INDIAN and LOCAL people for granted. I am not sure why so. Very bad on your part. The good part here was that the food was good. But a small tinker here. Ask for the items here. They serve biryani but say there is no yoghurt. Not sure why don’t they disclose it upfront. Also there is a hidden trick here. Whenever you go here, ask for TAKE AWAY, the food prices are almost half the DINE-IN price. This also they will never mention coz they are money greedy people trying to hound on the customers as much as possible. I think there could be a bit more courtesy from their side. Treat our Indian people like you treat other foreigners. There is one more problem, they blamed us for a broken toilet sheet. This was already broken in the first place but they happily blamed it on us. I think their maintenance team needs to up their game and not work casually. After a lot of arguments, they finally left the matter coz I let them know a lot of evidences to prove the same. I hope you treat the guests better from here on. However, I would commend FAZIA efforts on all these. She understood the matter and got things resolved proactively. Keep up...
Read moreYou'll feel like home in a very short time. Ujjwal, Munna, and the whole team turned my stay into 12 blissful days. My terrace was merely 15 metres from the rolling waves, and the restaurant was even closer.|I booked half board. The breakfast had all you could imagine. Fresh fruit, and fresh fruit juice, eggs in all varieties, pancakes (I still dream of!), toast, marmalade, all served in an open-air part of the restaurant, where I could watch the tide come in.|Dinner was even better! I could chose from every meal on the menu. I worked my way through the menu (starters and main dish), and in 12 evenings I had 10 different dishes (Indian, and Creole) on my table. On the first couple of evenings, I had bananas cooked in syrup, and later I switched to different kinds of ice cream.|Not to forget the Cocktails, and Mocktails, of course! The list is short, but very quickly I found my favourite there. Although I like alcohol a lot, my favourite was a mocktail with no alcohol, the "Le Relax Garden". Don't miss this one!|The room had all I needed (and even more). A large bed where I slept very good, and very long. A bathroom perfectly eqipped for all needs. A verandah with a nice view. A large garden with a lot of trees, flowers, and not to forget the birds! As I am a keen bird watcher, I found Seychelles Sunbird, Madagascar Fody, Indian Mynah, Seychelles Bulbul, Seychelles Fruit Pigeon, Seychelles Barred Ground Dove, and on one day even a family of five (!) Seychelles Black Parrots. And the garden had flying mammals as well: every evening I could see endemic Fruit Bats flying around a large Indian Almond Tree, trying to...
