We recently stayed at Hotel Bratislava and found the experience to be average at best not quite what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.
The facilities are quite basic. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious, but the toilet was surprisingly small and felt cramped.
Breakfast was also underwhelming. On our first morning, there were no spoons or glasses available at the buffet. I had to ask the staff to refill them, and it took quite a while before anything was done. The service during breakfast felt disorganized and slow.
One moment that really stood out was when we ordered food from an outside restaurant via Bolt. Unfortunately, the food arrived without utensils. When we asked reception if we could borrow some cutlery, we were told no, and that it wasn’t their department—despite the hotel having a breakfast buffet stocked with utensils. This response felt unhelpful and not in line with the level of service guests should expect, even from a more modest hotel. Most hotels would have gladly helped in this situation.
On a more positive note, the hotel was clean, and the room size was decent. Also, Denis at reception was very helpful during checkout, especially with sorting out parking—which we appreciated. This was in contrast to the unaccommodating attitude of the female receptionist who declined to assist with the utensils.
Overall, while the hotel covers the basics, the lack of amenities and some inflexible and unhelpful service really brought the experience down. I wouldn’t consider this a true...
Read moreOfficial Complaint – Unacceptable Behavior at Hotel Bratislava Receptio||||I am writing to formally report the most inappropriate and disrespectful behavior we have ever encountered at a hotel reception, during our recent visit to Hotel Bratislava.||||We attempted to communicate with the hotel regarding our children, aged 10, who are currently staying there as part of a group. Our efforts were repeatedly ignored. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told he was “sitting aside” and unavailable. After insisting on a response, the representative at the reception simply replied: “I’m busy, move aside.”||||This response, coupled with their total lack of willingness to assist or facilitate any form of communication with hotel management, was utterly unacceptable. We were treated with complete disregard, and it was clear we were being deliberately ignored.||||We consider this the worst service we have ever experienced at any reception. It is deeply concerning that a hotel hosting children would show such negligence and unprofessionalism.||||We request that this issue be looked into seriously, and we expect a formal response regarding how this situation will...
Read moreThis hotel is bad news for anyone with a movement disability. Let me explain, the conference center and restaraunt is on the mezzanine level, but there is NO ELEVATOR ACCESS. Handicapped must wait for staff to take them on the freight elevator which is not self-serve and even stymied one of the staff to operate it.|| ||Only two people at the front desk for a hotel with 450 rooms? Preposterous.||Here is a list of the problems with our suite -- the top quality and most expensvive rooms||1. Two bathrooms -- fan was broken in both of them||2. Headboard lights -- on/off switch was broken||3. Balcony -- covered in pigeon sh!t obviously never cleaned||4. Sink -- hot/cold taps miswired. One sink has hot on left the other has hot on right||5. Couch--wobbly, broken arm, don't lean on it. Probably at least 10 years old.||6. Hallways--a distinctive old building smell, this building is 50 years old and shows it||7. Staff--overworked, surly, and...
